Dont have time for a full detail but want to freshen my car up a little. Should I apply my poorboys sealant before or after the Black Hole Glaze?

thats what i figured but I wasnt sure how durabilty would be with a sealant over a glaze

Usually you put the glaze underneath the sealant so that the sealant will cover up the glaze and extend its durability.

Or you can use it like Meg # 7 as a top coat over wax/sealant, does not last but it will pop

I was under the impression that you did it vice-versa..... seal, then glaze.

You can do that for temporary looks. Personally, I never seal over a glaze. If I have a sealant, I will glaze on top of it and then put a nuba on.

Hmmm, OK. So..... Polish, Finishing Polish, Glaze, Seal and then Wax ?

I was instructed to seal then glaze in the past :(

The only problem with glazes on top of sealants is that they will be gone after a wash or two. For me in florida, I love using glazes topped with nubas. They wear down in similar times and look great together.

Hey Ryan,
I was reading your reply post concerning the PB BLACK HOLE GAZE. in it you indicated that you applied the gaze between the sealant and the nuba. I have just waxed my car and discovered some very fine swirls on the hood. Could I apply the glaze over the Fuzion wax that I have applied and than top it off with another coat of the fuzion?
Thanks in advance for your or any one elses reply.

Hey Stu,

Although I have never actually tried this I don't see why it wouldn't work but the worst that can happen is it would just wear off :xyxthumbs:

I guess I am STILL confused. Can I use PB Black Hole on top of an existing LSP, then top it with either a sealant or a wax?

I have the same Black Onyx paint as your G35 aka 6MT. I have the M45 aka Y34, but in my opinion the glaze, seal & wax gives the best results. It’s not often but I have re-applied the PB black Hole over the trunk lid with decent results. Poor Boys say that you can apply the PB black Hole at anytime, but it will always be a debatable topic. I've since moved away from glazing. I spend more time perfecting the polishing process.

I think the argument will be that once you glaze....you loose the sealant or wax that you previously put down. I think that's what I've read. Can anyone co-sign on that?

I believe that only applies to certain glazes with cleaners in it. I don't think the PB BH has any cleaners.

And I've read that the sealant won't last as long if it's applied over a glaze because it does not fully or properly bond to the paint with the glaze in between.
