Will Pinnacle XMT final instant detailer work on top of P21S concours Carnauba wax? or is there a better instant detailer i should use?

Pinnacle XMT will work great with P21S as your LSP

Generally speaking, mist and wipe product like Pinnacle XMT are for removing,

Light dust
Fingerprints
Smudges

If you car is any dirtier than the above the you should consider washing it. Spray detailers lubricate the surface enabling you to remove light dust without scratching the paint but it's also important to use good quality microfiber polishing cloth too as well as good technique.

What are you working on?

I Have A 2010 Mustang Shelby 500 GT Cobra. It Is Kona Blue. I Have Never Used Detailer Spray Before And I Don,t Want To Scratch The Paint. You Can Tell I,m A Newb. I Am Going To Place My Order Today To Auto Geek For The P21 Carnuba Wax And The Pinnacle XMT Finish Final Instant Detailer And I Just Wanted To Make Sure These Were Good Products. Every Time The Car Get,s Dust On It I Wash It, Maybe When It Gets Dusty I Can Use The Detailer Spray. I Love This Forum There Is So Much Information And You Don,t Make Us Newbs Look Dumb. Is There Some Where On The Forum Where It Tells You How To Use The Detailer Spray.

Thank,s For Your Help.

What shampoo are you using to wash? Is the dust just from the car sitting in the garage? The XMT final finsh is pretty good. I've been using it on my girlfriends car as a test. She has constuction by her work. I noticed less dust on the car when she gets home. So I'll assume the paint is staying slick, or the construction workers have benn slacking.

Yes The Dust Is From Sitting In The Garage. What Shampoo Do You Sugest. They Have The Pinnacle XMT Final Finish Detailer Spray Buy One Get One Free It Sounds Like A Good Deal.

I just searched here,

How To Articles

And didn't find anything specific to using a quick detailer so I'll put it on my video to do list.

Until then, 3 easy steps...

* Shake your spray detailer, (always shake everything that's been standing still), and then mist some on to a small section, about 16" to 18" inches squarish or so.

* Take a premium quality microfiber folded 4-ways for plenty of cushion and place it on top of the spray detailer, (sitting on the paint), and using a circular motion spread it around once or twice cover the area. This is to spread it around, not remove it.

* Now flip your microfiber over to a dry side, or fold it to a dry side and the circular passes to wipe the product off.

At this point the surface should be dry and shiny. You can fold your microfiber to give it a final wipe or continue moving around the car repeating this process.

If you want to be super super careful, simply use more and more microfibers. Make sure they are clean and free from any contaminants.

If it is just garage dust, using a QD to remove it is fine. You an even use a can of compressed air first to blow most off first, then use the QD. Like Mike said before, get some good microfiber towels.

As for shampoo, there are a ton. I personally like the Pinnacle bodyworks, but it's a little price. DP Autobath works well, and so does Megs gold class for even cheaper. I just did a test and review on Dodo Juice supernatural shampoo. It's a little pricey also, but it did what it said. The lubrication was great, and it did leave a slick anti-static finish.
