I will be taking the Honda to the body shop this evening so we could pull the carpet out. There are some things in the sedan I can't get out. I also want to be able to High Pressure Wash the carpet inside the sedan. MANY of the stains on the drivers carpet have come out. Just not all the way.

HOLY COW FLAKES!!! :wow:  :wow: I spent over an hour and a half @ my friends body shop. We took all the carpet out. We spraid two bottles full of Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner Plus all over it. sprayed it with some water then let it sit for about 5 minutes. After that, we turned on the high pressure sprayer onto the carpet and did a lot of crap come out of that carpet. There is still junk on the carpet, however, it's no where close to what it looked like in the begining. I will go back to the body shop tomorrow after noon to get the carpet back. I will put it back into the car latter Friday afternoon. I will tell the owners son he can get the Honda back on Saturday. I've pretty much have cleaned up the passenger side of the sedan. The carpet was a big delay in taking care of the Honda today. ugh..

NO MORE SMOKING PEOPLE!!!!! This Honda is a prime example. Ones car will never look nice again, no matter what.

I know this is going to drive each of you CRAZY until I've posted those pictures. :hungry:

Nice job on the engine bay. Some people just don't care about or take any pride in their car.

I've got a '96 accord with stains in the carpet I can't get out from the prev owner. I'm curious to see the end product!!!

Here are up-dated pictures of the Honda. I'm not sure what day I will have it finished by since there are parts on order for it.

so much better!! i did an Aspire when i was 16 that was that bad. GOD that sucked. 2 LARGE milkshakes that had spilled and had sat, milkshake on the carpet, for a few months... it was SICK

Well, I will have the Honda till mid next week. A headliner is on order and it arrives on Monday. I'm not going to put the carpet back into the vehicle until that original headliner is gone.

Nice work. I can see things in the engine bay now. Apart from work vans, that is the dirtiest vehicle I've ever seen.

Are you not worried about passive smoking while detailing the interior? I've never seen tar & nicotene staining/residue like that.

Look forward to seeing the rest of the work :dblthumb2:

Thanks. The smoke does not bother me since I can no longer smell anything. LOL That is one of the safest things in detailing vehicles. he he

Stephan you simply brought that car back to life. Amazing!

Thanks Stu. It's sitting outside the house right now. I will have it for a few days more. I have everything on hold until the new headliner arrives. Once it's in, I will place the carpets back in AND the trunk mat as well. That Honda will not gain anything till the headliner is yanked from the roof. I will have to clean everthing inside the car once again when the headliner changes. ugh.... lol

Stenphen Just a thought what use cheap thin plastic drop cloth tape of dash & center console that way you can save your self some time from recleaning everthing just my 2cents. :dblthumb2:

Hey great job! I do 4 dealers vehicles and what they do is buy vehicles like this and hire me to detail them and they sell them. Generally making about 1-2k off each vehicle once its cleaned. People are gross! It's got me thinking... Why shouldnt I be buying these for myself and selling them? By the way what is the baking soda for?

By the way what is the baking soda for?

Baking Soda takes away bad oders. That is why almost everyone in the US uses baking soda in their fridge. I will do the Honda the same way when things are taken care of by Tuesday. The Honda has been sitting outside of our house waiting for things to arrive. I wish I could lower the windows to let it kinda air out BUT,,,,,,, We are finally getting rain. darn it. LOL

Stephen

Another way is to use 3 or 4 charcoal bricketts under on the floor on rag they will absorb the smell . A old timer showed me that one try a couple times seem to work preety well make sure the area dry or you'll stain the carpet. Nice Job Stephen

stephen... if you dont mind, what are you charging for this?

Great work BTW!!!!
