2005 Lamborghini Gallardo - Lots of scratches

This vehicle is owned by the client that has the 09 Escalade. He is very picky about his vehicles and wanted this one to look like it should. It only has 4k on it and has never been polished since new. After looking over the vehicle it was covered in scratches and factory wet sanding marks. He noticed them after bringing the vehicle home when new and has not done anything with them till now. They are very hard to see in the sun so out of sight out of mind kind of thing until now. So now this is one of the many cars he has that I will be taking care of for him.

The following products were used to correct defects-various LC pads from orange up to blue, 3M wool pad, M105, M205, and Ultrafina. Lots of 3M green tape. For the LSP I used the new beta Lusso Oro from Phil. The wax is very hard but easy to apply and very easy to remove.

The first four pics are out of 20 I took trying to get the defects. For some reason it was very hard to get them with my camera. I am sure the lighting had alot to do with it.

The rest are correction pictures. For some reason this car was very hard to take pictures of. I guess that is the problem with the point and shot cameras, you can not make adjustments for the lighting or it was the color of the car itself.

Great job Dana! Did you do anything to the clear bra on the hood?

Wow really pops.Looks like your going to have to pony up and get a new camera now that your doing really high end cars. The Z06 should be a walk in the park for you after doing the lambo.I guess the members who didn't know the name Dana will know it after this one.:xyxthumbs::xyxthumbs:

Thanks Adam, you know this isn't the only really high end car, but I do enjoy the sarcasm. I can't post all the cars, wouldn't be fair. I don't need a high end camera to cheat-lol.:dblthumb2:

That's ok Dana you really don't need a high end camera .Anyway if you did you would be bothering me to show you how to use Photoshop. But then again your paint correction is so good you don't need to use Photoshop.

Hey Dana I have been looking forward to seeing this writeup on the Lambo. You did an awsome job. :dblthumb2::dblthumb2::dblthumb2::dblthumb2::dblthumb2::dblthumb2::dblthumb2:
I am sure that on the day that this car was delivered new to the customer the angels cried:cry:, as it is a sin that a new car dealer selling cars of this caliber would stoop so low as to deliver a Lambo with such paint imperfections. At least the dealer that sold me my Porsche tried to hide the swirls with some showroom glaze ( he should be condemed to an eternity of driving a Yugo uphill in a 50 mph head wind. This way he will slowly be blown into hell where he belongs)

What would you say was the most challenging aspect of detailing the Lambo?:buffing:

Thanks Louie, I used 105, 205 and Uf on it. It was so scratched up you could barely see the headlights.

Thanks Stu. There were several aspects that were challenging-wet sand marks all the way to all the edges, areas in front of the air ducts and the vents on top of the rear quarters, other than that it was a cake walk.

WOW! :applause:Awesome work....
Now this is sexy....
