Best product to stop dust attraction

heard alot of great things about the FK425 and its anti static properties never used my self but i have used DG AW and it left the surface real slick i could not imagine anything sticking to it

A Car Cover

thats nice, but when car covers are frequently used, they collect dust, especially the incredibly soft ones meant to be safe for your paint, and will deposit dut as soon as you set it on your car.

i used a car cover to keep large amount of dirt dust and grime from settling on my cars and there is always a layer of dust setting on the surface from the car cover or from air coming up underneath.

Thats why I just washed my cover today, it wouldn't have any dust issues but it would leave a weird film on the car (I presume because of moisture).

However, I think a nice car cover makes a huge difference if your car sits for a week or more at a time. I love my silk Saab cover, it makes me want to try it as a bed sheet!

it does make a difference, but it depends on where your at as to how much of a difference it makes.

if you kept your cover clean, and never covered your car when it was dirty, and only had it in a garage covered.... you would be able to maintain your car with simply a quick detailer for 6-8 months until it was time to reapply a sealant.

but if you kept it outside with a car cover, you would want to uncover and dust it off and wash the cover once every other week to keep from scratching. when the wind blow, it will swirl dust in the air up under your cover and onto the paint, the more wind you get, the more agitation you get from dust on the cover onto the car. but then you wouldnt be getting waterspots or dirt accumulation in large amounts if you didnt take the car out but once every 2 weeks.

i love my car cover though, but i would cover my DD, so it wasnt an issue.

Hi everybody. I have a question and I was hoping some of you might be able to help me out.

Would using FK 425 or 146 as a quick detailer and to help reduce dust, mask the shine/finish created by waxes or sealants?

In other words, if my car is topped with Souveran Paste and I use 425 a week later, would the 425 create it's own shine and mask the shine created by the wax.

I hope I was clear. Thanks.

I really like 146 ... more sealant like in look and seems to offer more anti-static abilities. Dust blows off , or seems to.

Ok ok, you convinced me. 146 is going in the shopping cart. Thinking out loud hear. Now for the million dollar question, should I wait for Black Friday or Christmas? Hmm...
