This wasn't a detail of the Escalade. The intention of the post was to illustrate the shabby condition in which the dealer returned the car to me after doing a minor repaint of the rear 1/4 panel in order to repair a couple of scratches. The after pictures represent the correction that had been made to the paint in order to correct the DIS (dealer induced swirls), hazing and marring that the dealer left in the paint.
Fortunately the dealer didn't mess up my tires LOL. He only messed up the paint.

I'm sure dealers count on most people not having the discerning eye of a detailer. Most customers would probably never notice.

I am not going to be able to sleep tonight knowing that my tires are undressed. Do you have any idea how hard it is going to be to dress the tires in the dark while holding a flashlight between my teeth so that you can see. LOL

Looks like the dealers detailer might use a white cane to get aroumd and sandpaper to achieve the results his boss seems so proud of. You did a great job of correcting his horrible work.

DISO = Dealer Installed Swirl Option
Also another Dealership Horror story. It's so sad that getting swirls inflicted into your car's thin, precious and easily scratched paint is the norm for dealerships.

I think many of them do it on purpose so they can sell you a new car without swirls and give you the DISO at a later date. It's probably written in the contract like, 'All maintenance vehicles will receive a FREE car wash'.

Ah yeah.... I went in for service and dealer said he did me a favor and washed the car..... it toook 8 hours to get it back to where it was......
