beings you used to work for meguiars i hope you can help me.

i recently used nxt 2.0 then followed with pinnacle sig II and had amazing results. is the 2.0 like a sealant/synthetic based wax? i hear it takes form of a sealant?

my next question is, in a few months i will again apply nxt 2.0 but follow it with pinnacle souveran. what are your thoughts?

what do you think the durability is on the 2.0?

basically i apply the 2.0 for durability and the candy shell look and then follow with a boutique wax for whatever depth/shine/glow i'm aiming for.

thankyou.

It's a synthetic paint sealant. Meguiar's uses the word wax on the label because this product is sold in the retail world where a lot of average car owners don't get as deep as online car enthusiasts and you have about 10 seconds to get someone's attention in a retail store so you don't want to confuse them with words they are not familiar with like

Synthetic Paint Sealant

So when creating names and label copy you keep it simple, things like,

Car Wax
Car Wash

The masses know what these words mean and it causes their hands to reach for the product, remove it from the shelf and take it to the cash register.

If you confuse the consumer, their hand may simply move to anything with the word "Car Wax" on the label and skip the product that is confusing them.

That's retail marketing science.

Just depends upon how the vehicle is washed and touched and the environment it is exposed too...

I know NXT is really hard to wash out of any kind of application pad because it doesn't break down with water very well.

:)

i recently stripped off 2 coats of NXT with Turtle Wax's liquid clay bar. it came off easy

edit: i thought you guys were talking about cleaning NXT off paint. i re-read and saw you guys were talking about cleaning from pads :o... would soaking in Dawn help clean pads?
