2007 Ford Edge, exterior paint correction only.

This vehicle belongs to a good friend of mine and was recently purchased for his wife; I believe he said it had around 12,000 miles on the clock. We had originally planned on only doing a 1-step correction, but upon delivery it was obvious that the DISO was just too deep and it would require a 2-step. There were also several RIDS in various areas, most too deep to be removed, but I offered to give them a light sanding in hopes of making them less noticeable.

Owner had dropped the car off washed (touchless) so I just gave it a quick ONR bath. I then clayed with Meguiars Mild clay and Last Touch as lube.

Before pics.

Took some PTG reading before sanding….hmmm, all panels were in the 200 micron range.

My process for correction was M105 via the Flex DA and an orange LC pad. The clear on this vehicle was rock hard and M105 finished down VERY well...I’d say LSP ready for a 1-step job. Since I had just received some Poli-Seal which I've been wanting to try it out, I chose to follow with that on the PCXP with a white LC pad. (Wet sanded areas were hit with the rotary and M105)

Here is a 50/50 shot after just M105 and an IPA wipe down.

I was definitely in a hurry on this one and the owner showed up just as I finished, so I'm sorry but I forgot to take a few of the after pics.

Trim dressed with Poorboys Trim Restorer
Tires dressed with Hyper Dressing 3:1
Glass done with Megs D120
Chrome done with Optimum Metal Polish
LSP was Blackfire Wet-Diamond

Very nice. What a cool colour that is on the vehicle after the work.

Nice job. That 50/50 shot after 105 is wicked. Didn't look like it needed a follow up.

Great job Chad! I hope he was happy with the extra work you put in.
