I've searched and read through the posts and I'm still not sure what to purchase.
My wife has allowed me to use the garage to do my 08 Tahoe and Brand new Audi. She just bought me the Griot's DA that she saw on one of the shopping TV shows! I had just pulled the trigger on a Flex 3401 too!

My problem is None of the cars we own are heavily scratched (there are some scratches) or have heavy oxidation but do need machine correction.
I'm not sure what to buy to start the process of getting the best shine.

One friend tells me to get this MAX SHINE KIT
My other friend is telling me to get this SHOW CAR KIT

I have no idea I was headed in the direction of the Show car Shine kit but was told its overkill.

Add to my dilemma the need for extra pads... Should I just duplicate and order the same types of pads (for extras) that come with the kits? Are they the best pads for the products?
Or nix the kits and order products and pads separately...?
Like this:
Menzerna SIP (Medium High Cut)
Menzerna 106F (Medium to Low Cut)
Menzerna P085RD (Finishing/Jeweling)
And Lake/CCS Pads?? Orange, White and Black/Grey?

Any help would be great!

If your not worried about the money your separate product and pad choices are good, a couple each of each pad. Add on some BOGO MFs then post some pics of that Audi for me! What did you get? S5?

Yep got a basket full of MFs from the BOGO..
A8 L and can't stay out of it. i keep finding excuses to drive anywhere!

Don't let those BOGOs get away, pull the trigger. LOL

I bet, I still find excuses to go drive my little '99 A4. Great cars. Can't wait to upgrade though... but AG gets all my money.

Ok
So I'll be getting some CCS and Flats
Do I need bonnets?

Not really, unless you just want to use them for putting and taking off wax.

Cool ziggo99...I thought not.
I had read about putting a bonnet over lambs wool somewhere-don't remember where or why. I'm a bit toasted now from reading so much..

I'll go ahead and get my pads and polishes ordered.

Last question........
Before I pull the trigger on my polish, should I even consider the 105/205 or just stick with what I've already picked.
Thanks!!

I would consider the 102/105 duo. People swear that it's the greatest thing to happen to detailing in a long time. I wouldn't know, I haven't used it, but I have usedo UC which is a notch or two down from 105 by hand, and it worked extremely well.

I would say either the "current choice" Menzerna trio, or the M105/M205/Ultrafina trio. You could get them all ;) but IMO the Menzerna are easier to use (M105 works quick and violently where SIP works a bit slower and more predictable). So maybe the Megs combo for the truck ;)

Although, if you have a ceramic clear on the A8, the Menzerna are probably the best suited.

I would get LC Flat or or CCS pads in Orange, White, Grey, Red

As for products give WG TSR or Pinnacle Advance Swirl Remover and Pinnacle Advance Polish.

The products you listed in your post are also very good.

Thanks for the information...I never even thought about Pinnacle or WG Products.
I still have not placed my order for the pads and polish as I've gotten so much opinionated information about what to pick.

The Tahoe is the one that seems most confusing in terms of what products to get as it does have some scratches that are light and a few scuff type marks on the top...
