Sully's Detailing: Black 135i ...Wolfgang Review

South Florida's Premiere Detailing Service!!

Ok to start off I did not expect this car to be in such bad shape. The car's owner said that the car was not swirled to bad when he first bought it but after bringing the car to the dealer for two services the dealships detailers hacked up his paint.

Exterior:
Wolfgang Auto Bath
Wolfgang Poly Clay - This clay bar is a medium grade clay and did an excellent job removing all the contaminant that were on the paint surface.
Wolfgang Sprits Quick Detail (Clay Lube)

Rims, Tires, Exhaust Tips
Dodo Juice Rim Cleaner - I was very disappointed in there rim cleaner. The products dries way to fast (rims where cool and I was working in the shade) The wheels I was working on were super dirty and by the time I was done cleaning the rim and I rinsed them off it would leave dirt residue all over the rim. I had to wash the front rims 2-3 times to get them completely clean. I would not recommend this product to anyone that will be cleaning really soiled rims. Stick to Pinnacle or P21S
Wolfgang Poly Clay - Did a great job removing that hard to get caked on brake. it still left some behind. So it would be nice if Wolfgang could come out with a more aggressive clay to.
Steel Wool and Mother all purpose metal polish for the exhaust tips

Interior:
Griot Garage Interior Cleaner
Wolfgang Leather Care Cleaner – This product cleaned the leather with ease. The red leather seats in this car had some black marks and were really dirty. This leather cleaner cleaned them and had them looking new again and ready for the conditioner.
Wolfgang Leather Care Conditioner – This is a great leather conditioner I goes on easy with a foam or microfiber applicator and it not sticky or have a high glossy look to it. Also after applying it, it does not leave a bad smell in the car like some leather conditioners do. It really gives the leather a nice rich look to it and brings out the color very well.
Wolfgang Carpet and Upholstery Restore – I used this on the BMW logo on the drive side carpet. It easily turned the brown logo to silver with 2 quick strokes of the brush. So far this product works great. I will be trying this product on a light color carpet soon.

Paint Correction and LSP:
Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 - I used the flex light weight with LC orange ccs pad. I started at 1500rpm then brought it down to 1000rpm. I did a side by side on a section of the hood with TSR and M105. They both took all the swirls out of the finish. But TSR left a nicer finish to work with. So for this car I would have to say that the TSR worked better then the M105
Wolfgang Finishing Glaze – I used the flex light weight with LC white flat pad at 1000 rpm. I applied light to moderate pressure working the product into the paint till it was clear. This left the paint with no holograms and really brought out the metallic flakes in the paint. I would have to say that this product definitely finishes much better than M205.
Wolfgang Fusion – I was amazing how little wax it took to cover the whole car. I applied it over the whole car then I started vacuuming the interior of the car. I left the wax on the car for about an hour and it was so easy to take off. I was amazed on the dept it gave me in the black paint. It was my first time using Fuzion and it have become my new favorite was next to Pinnacle Souveran. I was skeptic about paying $175 for a wax but now I know why it is priced so high because it will make your car glisten

Nice job on the car Shawn! But, Wolfgang TSR being better than M105? At what? A non-diminishing COMPOUND vs. a diminishing abrasive polish. Don't get me wrong, I use TSR and power finish 203 as my one-step polishes. They are both great! But you can't say it's better than M105. They are 2 totally different polishes. TSR will not work better than M105 on a swirled up vette. Like wise M105 isn't really used as a one-step. People do, but it wasn't meant to be.

I just used the TSR with the HT pads this weekend. It does a great job. I still had to pull out the 105 on the rear bumper. The lady backing into a cement flower pot. The TSR didn't dent the scratches. 105 made it severly less noticable(except for the one the went all the way through to the plastic).

Lets compare apples to apples please.:dblthumb2:

I completely agree with you that they are to totally diffrent fomulas and I have used M105 mainy time and love it. Since TSR is diminishing is required more product and maybe more then one pass over a section but it still works amazingly. Now I have not tried TRS on a vette yet. But i am planing to on my partner's dad's vette soon. I will also do a side by side of TRS and M105 on an H2 I have coming up. read my post I just made in the PR thread. I said the TSR fall in between SIP and M105 and that TSR finshes much nicer.

Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 - I used the flex light weight with LC orange ccs pad. I started at 1500rpm then brought it down to 1000rpm. I would have to say that this product works just as good if not better than M105. It also finished a little better.
You said it works just as good, if not better.

The BMW 135i looks awesome. Keep up the great work Shawn.

shawn....whatever you used the outcome is awesome! I'm sure you have another very satisfied customer and he could care less about what you used to make it that way. every vehicle is different and what works for you may not work for others. GREAT JOB......Rob

Very nice job! I'm sure with results like that you will get more customers from word of mouth.

The owner is part of a BMW forum so I posted the pic on there. Hopefully I can get a few more BMW customers. He said he was very please with my work so we'll see

I notice a high amount of before pictures in direct sun showing the swirls - do you have any comparable after pictures in direct sun to show how much correction you achieved?

There are 2 pictures of the pictures both of the hood and the truck after TSR. The reason there is none of the paint upclose after is because I finished at 5pm and the sun was almost gone. You can see a big diffrent after the TSR in those two pictures.

Great work Shawn! You did an amazing job at removing all the swirls that crappy dealer wash did to the car! I feel like I have a new car again :D

Anyone looking for a good detailer in South Florida don't hesitate to give Shawn a call.

As long as the client is happy with my work that is all that matters. You cant always get perfect after pictures when your working on a car all day sorry

:xyxthumbs: Shawn. It looks like the owner has driven the BMW to the island a few too many time. :D
