As was announced Nov 4th 2009, the Dodge Vipers last model year will be in 2010.

Only 484 will be made for the 2010 model year.... The build will start in March 2010 and will go straight through (excluding holidays) until all 484 are built...

Regardless if you like the vehicle or not one thing that is undeniable is that it did make a statement!

WOW! Goodbye~~~~~

The end of an error....*sniff

Wheres Surfer .... one of our resident Viper addicinado's ??

They suppose to bring the Viper back in 2012 if Chrysler is still in bussiness.

Sad to hear of the loss of such a great car. I hope your right about it coming back in 2012 Gary. Lets hope Chrysler can survive.

Again according to information comming out of Chrysler it's only the Gen IV Viper that going to stop production after the 2010 model year. They suppose to come out with the Gen V Viper in 2012. This is actually nothing new. They also stopped production for a year between the Gen III and Gen IV Vipers. The Viper has consistantly made money for Chrysler. The completely stock Gen IV ACR Viper continues to set track records around the world. It currently hold the famous Nurburging track record and just set a new Laguna Sega track record a couple of weeks ago.

The end of an error.

if Chrysler is still in business.

Not a big fan of Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth, (although I once owned a 67 Plymouth Barracuda back in the 80's :xyxthumbs: ) but you can't deny that the Viper is a well respected, high powered sports car.

I could care less about Chrysler :bash:

Btw...it's "business". I corrected it for you :D

One of the only things GM did right! Then they blew it on the marketing.

On the up side my new car will always be rare! If it is as trustworthy as the last 2 I will be a happy man for the life of it. A looooong life!

Wanna bet we see most of the Opel (ie Saturn) line at Buick soon ??? Look for pics on the new Buick Regal for 2011. I remember when your conv/coupe was actually a Buick showcar roadster before being moved to Pontiac/Saturn since the image was too young for it.

GM Marketing also killed QuadraSteer. If you've never driven a Vehicle with QuadraSteer, it is freaking amazing.

I couldn't imagine driving a Truck without it.

Sorry... back to regular programming already in progress.

It's hard to call a car that makes money for a company an error especially when it's setting track records and beating cars costing hundreds of thousands of dollars more.

That 67 Barracuda is probably worth more than the car you drive now if you still had it and it was in good condition. :poke:

I'm sure a lot of people could care less about the car you drive too.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

They r nice ridez - but they ain't got nuthin' on my 1985 CRX with V-Tec and NAAAAWWWWWS!!!11!

Sorry - couldn't resist. Don't even have a Honda.

I remember the first Viper I ever inspected closely. They are no doubt a one of a kind vehicle. They set a lot of bars really high. I still love to see them at the dealer down the road (Ringgold Chrysler is one of the nation's largest Viper dealer's, so they say). There's always about 20 sitting down there, and none of the same ones seem to stay long. I have seen some crazy awesome color combo's.

If someone handed me the keys, I'd rock it. Not to say I wouldn't rather rock the new ZR1 though (I am a Chevy guy). :o

A stock Viper ACR beat the ZR1's track record a Nurburging by almost 3 seconds.:poke:

I'm not stuck on anyone car. I have a Z06, 85 vette as well as a Viper ACR and other cars. I would have purchased a ZR1 if I could have got it at MSRP when I brought my Z06.
