Menzerna question

While the Meguiar's labeling system also causes some confusion at least in the Pro line it's pretty consistent across the board.

I'd really like to see Menzerna copy a least a portion of the Meguiar's labels and incorporate some of their designs into the Menzerna labels.

  • A scale on the front.
  • A uniform part number would be good.
  • A descriptive name that included what the product was, i.e. compound, cleaner/polish or glaze.
  • Picture on the front of how best results are achieved, for example if best results are achieved with a rotary buffer then do like Meguiar's did and have a pictures of a guy using a rotary buffer.
  • List specific methods of application, i.e. by hand, RB or DA or FDA

Same for 3M, their part numbers and labels to complex for the market they go into.

:)

ill let menzerna know about this

Just check the bottom of the bottle for the production date. I'm under the impression that Menzerna has swithced their labels to the new colorful ones.

Meghan/Matt - are you guys still getting shipments of Menzerna with the old style labels? I remember the last bottle of 85rd I picked up from you had the old label when the new label had already been released. Just wondering?

I just checked our stock, and all of the bottles are the new, "colorful" labels, except for PO115C 32oz, APO60 32oz, and PO85RD 32oz. I checked the bottles for some type of production date / sticker, but there were none.

ill let menzerna know about this

If you have that kind of relationship with someone at Menzerna then please do have them contact me as I historically have a long resume of recommending products which means sales.

If a company makes it hard for myself or anyone, Professional or Enthusiast to understand their products because they cannot understand the labels on the products then they're hurting their customer and their hurting themselves.

Actually, if Menzerna has to come to a person they don't know on a forum to figure out that in the year 2010, (in two more days), that their labels are lacking to say the least then they need to re-assign the person in charge of their label copy and design and find someone with experience in this field do do an extreme makeover for their entire line.

Seriously, the labels and numbering system is horrible and difficult for the layman to understand let alone the people that work in the body shop industry or at the OEM level.

I would volunteer to help them, I do have 1 official year of a copyright for labels under my belt. Check out the Velocity Synthetic Polymer Mold Release Line by Meguiar's. I also did the Mopar, Henredon, Ethan-Allen and Mercedes-Benz labels.

Hmmm, that's strange. Every single bottle I can remember buying has a production date on it. Both old and new labels. See>>>>

Have a bottle of 106fa that does not have a sticker but is stamped on the side in blue ink of the date. Well not stamped but printed on the bottle, little hard to see but its there.

Funny thing...

I posted the before as an example...

I have on that looks like this. Purchased in '07.

and one that looks like this, but is PO85RD (purchased in '08)...

Even though I said the second one I purchased looked like the one pictured above, it actually has the exact same label as above. My PO85RD has a Final Finish label. On the bottom however, it has the sticker with the product code and the date like the ones shown above.

Really odd.

I have good connections @ Menzerna, but they are walking their own way, so to speak...
