Are any of you guys musicians? What do you play? What kind of gear do you have?

Here's some of my gear that I've accumulated over the years.

Gibson Les Paul

Other gear:

My amps

My Pedal Board. I've since rearrange the pedals to (from left to right) Volume, Delay, Chorus. Tubescreamer, Wah.

I have some other gear, but it's stashed away at my grandparents' house.

And here's a video of me playing around. It wasn't meant to be a perfect take by any means, but it turned out alright. It may not be everybody's taste of music either, but it's god some good guitar parts IMO and I don't JUST play this kind of stuff either.

Not a musician (anymore), but I work for them... What year is your LP and the Rhoades V?

I've played trumpet for 44 years. Play in 3 community bands and a community big band.

My son just won a Gibson Les Paul Junior 1 of 9 from Pearl Jam. Too bad he doesn't play or have any interest in it. He's got it for sale.

^Nice!

I have um....7 guitars at home (had to think about that one for a minute)

I'll post some pics later tonight, but here are the ones worth mentioning:

Fender American Deluxe Ash Stratocaster (cherry sunburst / maple fretboard)

Parker Fly Deluxe

Epiphone Les Paul Special w/'57 Classic neck pickup, Sperzel tuners

The others are a tele clone (Agile) with GFS pickups, a pre-lawsuit Takamine F-360 (Martin clone, pretty rare these days), an Ibanez acoustic...and a classical guitar that I can't remember which brand it is because I never play it.

I used to play through a Peavey Classic 50 212 and loved the sound of it, but stepped down to a Roland Cube 30 due to space constraints. I LOVE this amp - for anyone looking for a good, small practice amp that sounds awesome, I highly suggest looking into one.

I'm an acoustic guitar player. No band or anything unless you call my 3 kids andme a band. I have 2 steel string (Fender) and 1 classical guitar. Play a lot of Dave Matthews, Sublime, Mason Jennings, Classic Rock, 90's etc...

Uhmmm. I'll have to get back to you on that. I'll plug the ID numbers into the websites and find out for ya.

NICE. I'd hold onto that thing man. 30 years from now it'll be worth thousands.

I love the sound of a good strat. How does the Parker play and sound? I heard that they are real lightweight and all.

The Parker takes some getting used to since the body is shaped weird, but that and my Strat are my two favorite guitars. I noticed strings last forever on the Parker, where on my other guitars they get all crappy real quick. Stainless frets might have something to do with that.

It's very lightweight, and is the most versatile guitar I've played in terms of sound. The factory pickups sound great and with the piezo, the possibilities are endless. The neck is also very fast.

The best part is, I only paid $500 for it. :)

The Gibson was made on May, 3, 2006 and was the 475th guitar in the first batch.

I do not know anything about the Jackson. My guess is a mid 90's. All I know though is that the tremelo on it is worth more than the guitar lol. I bought it after an incident where someone pulled a London Calling on my guitar and I needed another one.

How'd you manage that?

Ehh...I'd rather not post the details publicly...

LOL just kidding. Guitar Center happened to have it in their "used" room, and I happened to be there the day it was traded in. Lucked out there, I suppose. :props:

I started off on the drums............wish I still had my old Tama kit. I have 6 guitars..........two electric Ibanez guitars, an acoustic Ibanez and Taylor, and two classical guitars. I enjoy playing classical the most because that music seems to stand alone. If you play a rock or jazz tune on the electric it's not complete without the rest of the band. But classical guitar music stands alone and I find it to be the most challenging. Just my two cents anyhow.

I've got a Music Man JP BFR in Blackburst and 2 Mesa Boogie Mark V amps.

I wish.

I actually have been playing acoustic guitar off and on for 30+ years. I finally bought a guitar about 6 years ago after being without one for about 10 years. I now have a 1996 Ovation Adamas II 1881-NB5 (shallow bowl cutaway, no-burst black w/ gold flecks, Optima pre-amp) that I don't play nearly enough.

But I still wouldn't classify myself as a musician.
