My customer picked this up after it was traded in for a new GTR. It has some stuff added to set it apart , wheels, carbon fiber parts, etc.
Except for a few rock chips on the bumper and one on the hood the paint is nice besides the swirl marks of course.
It will be a weekend toy for him as he has other Bimmers and a Rover so he wanted it to look right.
I used 3M step 2 polish followed by 106 and 85rd both with my makita rotary and also PC with 4 inch pads.

looks awesome! previous owner is thinking the M3 is not good enough and buys a Nissan GT-R. geez

Thanks guys....yes, the previous owner only had it for a couple of months before getting the Nissan and had already put on the wheels and other mods.

Do you have to detail the carbon fiber pieces differently than the painted panels? I'm getting a body kit for my S5 which include CF pieces, and the pieces are clear coated.

Every car i have ever done with CF that are clear coated i have treated the same as painted parts. Someone correct me if i am wrong but because of the clear coat you put on the same sealant or wax as you would on paint.

This is true.
99% of carbon fiber pieces are clear coated from the company. They shine & scratch just as any paint job will.

On a side note, I know the previous owner of this car. Cosmetically, the car is VERY modified including the painted kidney grills, cf emblems & mirrors and an aftermarket exhaust. The wheels are crazy expensive. When they were first introduced last Fall they were priced @ $1750 per. He wasn't one to take great care of the car either. *sigh*

Great work on the paint correction! :dblthumb2:
Have you ever tried the Menzerna Power Finish rather than the 3M??? I have excellent results with Menzerna Power Gloss (aggressive) & Power Finish (medium cut).

I have never tried the Power finish but i'm sure eventually i will. I have just about every product, whatever new comes out i try. The Power gloss i do use.
So was this car in Texas before? How do you know for sure it is the same car....just wondering.
And yes the wheels are expensive.

He had been another member of a BMW forum I frequent ....... Bimmerpost. I had met him at the last Bimmerfest before he purchased the M.

Btw, very very few people have dropped the amount of money on the wheels like he had. There are only 2 suppliers who sell them & both are forum vendors. It's a very tight knit community on Bimmerpost and a purchase like that doesn't get missed. Lots of pics posted there showing all of the mods as they were installed.

Thanks for the info, i had been meaning to post some pics on one Bimmer forum or another, just wasn't sure which one .
At least my customer does take good care of his cars even though he's learned alot since meeting me.
Amazing how some people think they are doing everythingto keep their cars looking good until you show them what could and should be done.
He also has a 5 series as a daily driver.
There's a few more M's in his neighborhood that i hope to eventually get, it's right on the intracoastal in Ft lauderdale, so plenty of high end toys there.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The free dealer washes are truly the wrong way to go for a car wash, but most of us here & there realize this. There are quite a few members in your area that frequent the "post" forum so I would imagine you could get your name out pretty quick thru the use of your pics & end results.

Bimmerpost has a sub-forum for every model of BMW available so the 5 series are available as well. My username there is ToadHollow. :props:

The M3 looks amazing, after the detail of course ;) Good job!

So are those really CF wheel centers? OMGZ!!!!!

Buy the wheels, and we will throw in the car for free, lol...

I soooo want some...

BTW, a red M3 = don't care much about speeding tickets.

These wheels are the real deal, very expensive.
As far as it being red, i think regardless of the color he'll get himself in trouble because the morning right before i started detailing it we went for a ride along Ft. lauderdale beach and he was getting on it in a serious way. I was just waiting for the cops to start chasing us, luckily no one saw or heard us.
You should hear what the exhaust sounds like.
Btw, can we post videos on here?

Nice job and sick car!!
360 forged wheels  Expensive wheels here!
