any advice on what products to use on these wheels? I'm not sure what type of buildup that is...

looks like clearcoat failure and some curbing too.
 
can you get that out from curbing? all those scratching look painful for the rim!
 
i'm not sure if they're polished aluminum or not. i don't know much about that sort of thing =(

no matter is clearcoat failure or curbing the rim against curbs or concrete, when it gets that bad you need to consider a couple options.

1. Professional Resurfacing
2. Powercoating
3. Purchasing Custom Wheels
4. Looking for Ebay/UPickIt for replacement OEM wheels
