What does being a daily driver have to do with it? If anything that means it would have more defects and need a more aggressive combo. Mustangs can come with harder clears and 105 might be necessary. It all depends on how much the dealership hacked it up and how it looks now.
You will need to do a test spot to see. 205 is not that strong. Perhaps 105 on a white pad would work.
I see what you meant by me saying a DD, but I personally would not use the m105 on an orange pad to rid of his defects. I meant that I wouldn't use an such an agressive compound to get rid of all his RIDS, since it is only a DD, but just polishing out the main swirls as a whole. Obviously, using the least agressive approach first is very important to save as much paint as possible, but the hard clear coat explanation seems understandable in addition to the white pad and m105. Then again... I assume it is only the PC he is using so I can see why you say that m205 would not be as effective.
