Okay, I am going to detail my first new car. It is a 2010 red Escape. The paint is in great condition. That being said I can not decide what to apply to the car. I have narrowed it down to this.

Klasse AIO followed by Nattys blue paste wax or
Wolfgang 3.0 (giving it 12 hrs to cure) followed by Nattys blue paste wax.

Can someone please give me their opinion on how to go about this. And do I have to clay bar a new car?

Thanks

You'll want to clay it first, absolutely. Since it's new I'm sure you don't have any other scratches than what's accumulated thru regular washes etc. I'm guessing you won't be using a machine to polish, right?

If that's the case then I'd say the Klasse would be fine as it will "clean" the surface for the wax/sealant to be applied. The Nattys is a great wax as is the Collinite 845. I think you're off in the right direction!

I'm sure it won't be long before you're wanting to learn the machine route of polishing though ........ :xyxthumbs:

Actually I own a Flex 3401 and a 7424xp. The reason I am having a problem deciding because the paint does not have any swirl marks or scratches. It's literally off the lot. I don't feel like it needs any polishing. I have 85rd for my lightest polish, however, I do not feel like I need to use any abrasives for this car. What would you recommend in this case?

no wrong choice, might see a bit more durability using Wolfgang but both end products are nice, easy to use, and easy on the eyes.

If it just needs to be freshened up then yes, I'd go the 85RD route. Maybe even an AIO. Clay, light polish and a sealant will really brighten up any color.
