Being that I haven't been following this thread at all, they do have a "hot hatch" version of the i30 (Elantra GT here) that they sell in Europe.

Eh, they ruined that Elantra GT--looks like a Mazda 3 now, which I personally don't care for.

i kinda like the looks of the GT, it's more grown up. would have to see it person and check out the interior as well. KIA and Hyundai keep climbing up the ladder!

here's the one from last year (16'). no non luxury brand has ever nailed the #1 spot in over 20+ years and KIA took it. notice Hyundai was #3. some still have the old brand perception which they need to get over, that could be said many years ago but not anymore and it's been like that for a while...
