I have never used a sealant before. Would this be somethin you would apply over your wax to help last longer? I just got done waxing with some Megs NXT 2.0 paste. Is there anything I can apply over the top to help last? Or help the color? It is white.

You would want to apply the wax over a sealant. NXT as far as I know is a sealant. I've heard that if you want NXT to last longer you need to use a megs quik detailer. I am personally not a fan of NXT, instead I prefer to lay down Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant followed by a good wax the next day. My preferred combo for my personal vehicle is DGPS topped with Pinnacle Souveran. P21s carnauba paste looks awesome on white paint especially when the paint is polished to perfection, it seems to deepen the reflections.

If you're going to apply a sealant and a wax, the sealant usually goes on the top and you top it with a pure carnauba. Meguiar's #26 is a good choice. Although on a white car, I'd probably just do the NXT 2.0 and leave it at that, although you could do a second coat to ensure even coverage if you so desire.

Yeah, I agree with the two folks above. You want to put the sealant on first, let it cure, then put a coat of a decent wax on top of it. I wouldn't recommend the NXT wax...it's gooey and smears and takes a lot of wiping to get it right. Stick with Meg's 26 as Ciera said above. ;)

Oh, I've used, Poorboy's Sealant, Powerlock and Wolfgang. So far, I like the look of the Wolfgang the best.

As a general rule of thumb, sealants are made for longevity and waxes are made for looks. There are many variations of sealants and waxes that blur those lines however. To top what you've already done, I'd suggest Collinite 845. If you want a very, very good sealant that's cheap and easy to use and lasts a long time, go with Duragloss 105 or 111. Top that with Collinite and you'll be measuring the time in years...well that might be a bit of a stretch, but seriously, nothing will outlast that duo.

sealant = synthetic wax (its really that simple)
