Hi Everyone,
I am a neophyte detailer (retiree) who has too much time on his hands so I took to detailing freinds and relatives vehicles to keep busy. Needless to say I have learned a lot but have a lot more to learn. Can anyone tell me the differences between different grades of clay and which is good to use on a black car?

They come aggressive, medium and fine. You should alway's start with the least aggressive. Do a test section and see what you will need to remove the contaminats. Use a zip lock bag and rub your fingers gently over the surface.

Welcome to my world. A retiree with a black vehicle. My suggestion, go back to work!
In all seriousness, try the least agressive first. That holds true for all products.
