Also for everyone reading this into the future...

Notice how he covered the windshield and the tires when taping-off and covering up portions of the Mustang, some guys do this and some guys don't, I usually do myself and at least once reason for this is to reduce the amount of time you have to spend detailing the car after you buff it out and by detailing the car I mean removing any splatter or residue.

"Polishing paint is polishing paint, detailing is getting the wax out of the cracks"

Of course the goal is to be so good that you don't have any splatter coming off your buffing pad and landing on places like the windshield or the tires and wheels but it only takes a minutes to tape-off and cover up components of a car like you see in this example and wiping off accidental splatter takes time and it isn't any fun especially when you're tired like you will be at the end of the job like this project

:)

Thanks guys. :buffing: :props:
Amazing results. How long did it take you?
It took me 16-17 hours. :work: :(

You didn't list the type of tool you used but guessing from the picture on your detailing website it was a Flex 3401
Yes exactly. The Flex 3401 is a wonderful machine.

I couldn't agree more. It takes ~30 minutes to tape/protect the complete car, but it prevents burns and if previously washed properly I save at least 1 hours of final cleanup.

Great work and excellent write up. Thanks for sharing. It's hard to believe that anyone would let it get so bad to begin with, any way nice turn around!

I wish I could say the same. We've had like 12 days of strait 70+ and sunny. Just yesterday I was sitting in traffic on University and saw a white GT500 that looked like he'd been muddin'. Being a Mustang owner myself (On my 4th to be exact. It's a disease.) I could have shed a tear.

Well done OP. That's how it should look. :xyxthumbs:

WOW! This Mustang GT looks amazing. Great job correcting the paint surface. What kind of finish is on the wheels ? They look like they change colors ?

Awesome Turn around like the garbagebag work have to try that myself on wheels can't count the amount of times drop compound on tires . I hope you showed the owner proper washing tech. What was I Thinking Just show him Washing Techniques Period.

Great Job Steven

You really brought the clarity back to that clear coat, better than new. Love all the close-up 50/50 shots :applause:
