How in the hell is that battery relocation legal with out being a sealed unit like an Optima or in a enclosed battery box. You guys must have different rules and regulations across the pond then huh?

the oem location of the battery of the BMW M series here are also at the rear.

It is illegal to drive an RHD here, all the RX7's here are LHD.

Yea but they are sealed and enclosed in the trunk area(trunks are vented on the sides) and not out in the open in the cabin area. Car batteries let out sulfuric-acid fumes which are extremely harmful and dangerous to breath in.

Hmm..you're absolutely right, i just noticed it is not an enclosed area, since it's a hatch. That is a health hazard.

Thanks guys first of all..,Mate you are correct..I asked today and the battery has to be in a cover and not like that...
one question....Why it is illegal to drive a RHD there????Here it is not illegal to drive a LHD car but there are not too much....

Yes it is illegal. Our country imports a lot of Japanese tuners. We drive on the right side of the road, and the government has noticed that RHD vehicles had been in so many road accidents. I'm not really sure why, but i would assume it's because drivers were meant to have a better view from the middle of the road than the side.

The imported RHD tuners are then converted to LHD so they can be registered and driveable on the road.

The conversion kits are aftermarket, replacements, or fabricated.
