It looks like you are using single stage paint and your pad needs serious cleaning. It looks like your orange (guessing from pic) has picked up a lot of residue.

When the pad turns the color of the car you are working with single stage paint.
What you see on the pad is oxidation that was removed that is normal.

Use some APC and clean your pad. You should have several pads for a job like that.

whats apc?

all purpose cleaner? can u give me an example please

Megs apc+ is my go to apc
I use power disolver to clean my pads, it can be found at the local wallie world. But yes you can use your snappy clean to clean it. You want to clean your pad after you use is and ideally before the pad dries. Dont be alarmed if you let your pad dry but there is a good shot it will be stained but thats ok its still usable. That happened to me, I forgot to clean a pad after black single stage and now my orange pad is stained black in some areas

i used my brush and some of the foam is gone in the middle area.

how do i know when its time to throw away my pad?

thanks for the tip!

not that much, its hard to explain but im trying to use 15 lbs!

Looks like you are doing a very good job with the paint, as demonstrated by the before/after pictures. That product build up is very normal. Just clean the pad on the fly with a clean cloth by gently pressing a cloth against the pad while the machine is spinning, with enough pressure not to damage the pad.

I don't think that any special cleaner such as APC is needed to clean the pads. A small amount of soapy water and a tooth brush could easily clean the pads.

That's the ticket. I use Pinnacle XMT Polishing Pad Conditioner to soften the spent product and paint build-up before "cleaning on the fly" after every other section or so. Try to squeeze most of the lube back out before going back to polishing. Here's my demonstration video...

is that with the brush or when you are actually polishing?

when polishing, with the brush u cant really press that much or the machine will stop.

I finished the car today, ill upload the final pics tomorrow

Ya and that much pressure with the brush will definitely ruin your pad.
