I have a two tone colored car that is 20% black and 80% orange. I am currently using Pinnacle SSII wax for the orange part of my car to bring out the metallic but what about the black? I really don't feel like spending $10-$12/oz. (regular priced) on Fuzion or Souveran for such a small part of my car. By the looks of it Liquid Souveran ($2.50/oz), Natty's Red ($2.50/oz) and Max Wax ($4.38/oz) seem to be the front runners for cheaper but great wax. I'm looking for the deep wet look, which one would be my best bet? Will I be able to tell the wetness between Fuzion/Souveran and these cheaper waxes?

Thanks in advance.

Nattys Red gives a very similar look to Fuzion...about 90% there IMO. Won't last as long though, and definitely doesn't bead as nicely. Great, great wax for the price.

Natty Red or Collinite 915 (Concourse one) I am pretty sure the Collinite is less than $5/oz.

I would also just use SS II but if you must/want something for black and inexpensive Clearkote Canuaba Moose Wax looks great in dark colors. If you want something from AG Maxwax or liquid Souveran is good.

Meguiar's Gold Class Carnauba Plus for the entire car, or AutoGlym HD.

Souveran Paste has no substitute on blacks, but at the Fathers Day Sale pricing I would snap up Fuzion for 79.99. If used properly you should have 25 or more applications per jar.

If you feel that you have to buy another wax or have already talked yourself into another wax then get the MaxWax or slide over to Wal-Mart and get some Autoglym HD.

I just ordered some Nattys Blue. 32oz on sale for $49.99.. that puts it at $1.56/oz. Can't go wrong with that and its easy on and off. It also beads very tightly. Time will tell how long it lasts but at a 1.50 an ounce it's easy to just re apply.

pinnacle signature series 2 leaves a super wet glossy look on any color!!! this is the way to go .for a dark colors Souveran paste is the one to get!!!!!
but keepin mind durabilty is only a couple weeks on dd s .. but the goos thing is waxing with these takes no time to do an entire car!!!!

I use maxwax and I love it..even more so since it's on BOGO.

I would like to try some Autoglym HD. to see how well it works.

Another vote for Autoglym HD. It applies easily and leaves the paint nice and shiny.

I'd go with meguiars #21 for sealant and P21s to bring out metallic, fair price and proven on my ride.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I was hoping someone would say there was a cheaper product out there that was on par with Souveran Paste but that was wishful thinking. Killrwheels confirmed it, I will use SSII or liquid souveran on the roof for now since I have them and wait for Souveran Paste to go on sale. I might pick up Natty's Red and Fuzion just for the heck of it :dblthumb2:.

I dont see how you can beat DP Max Wax on BOGO for about $2.50 per oz!
