combining Duragloss 601 with 105 or 501

#111 HAS NO CLEANERS, ITS A PURE SEALANT!

The words EXPENSIVE and DURAGLOSS are never to be used in the same sentence, ever!!

You may not be able to see DG #111 but rest assured, its going on the car, leaving it well protected and looking AWESOME!!!

DG #105 is a great all around product, adding #601 to ANY DG product makes it even better, almost wish that #601 was just mixed in from the factory and marketed as "new and improved" because it would be just that!

Yeah, I like and use DG products!!

So just put it on with a wax applicator pad, let it haze, and wipe it off with a microfiber? I have never used a sealer so this is all new to me..

Never used 105, but DG includes an applicator with 111. Perhaps they do with 105 as well.
 
My bottle of DG #105 didn't come with an applicator.

Originally I was mixing up 2 oz of 105 with .5 oz of 601, but rarely use more than an oz of the mixture for body and wheels so started mixing 1 oz of 105 with 1 1/2 teaspoons (= .26 ozs) of 601--very little waste.
 
I was going by the OP's ratio of 4:1. I can't wait to see the results on my white truck and my wife's brand new '13 crystal black pearl Civic.

If I may make a suggestion, I'd go with the #501/601 combo first and then #105/601 combo next, make sure the paint is clayed first though. #501 really cleans well, don't be surprised if your pad gets a little dirty either,n even on a clean car. Honestly, I'd apply a coat of #111 ontop of the previous 2 as #111 is a pure sealant but even if you don't, your good to go!

I've always applied 111 over 501 with good results on my white car. Never felt the need for any additional cleaners after 501. Also liked to preserve 501's protection.

Yeah #111 on white is the ticket! As far as the durability of 501 alone, well I layer a lot so I have no clue but because its suck a strong cleaner I wouldn't lean on it as much as I would say #111 because its a pure sealant!

501 has great durability on its own measured in months. I just noticed the other day on my bottle of 111 it says "will polish and protect 2 full size vehicles". I though that was funny because I coated my entire car and probably didn't even use an ounce of it.

The general population will use way too much. As detailing enthusiasts we know how to apply products properly. :xyxthumbs:

I thought you must have misread something until I read it for myself. I couldn't use half a bottle on my car if I applied it with a spatula.
 
I agree about the "2 full size vehicles", LOL! So let's make a list of what DG needs to do;

-infuse #601 into all products
-label the products better, say what it "actually" is
-more accurate directions for how much to use
-new packaging
-bring over their version of clear seal

- 601 can't be mixed or infused prior to use, according to Bill and Jerry
- The product labels do say what it actually is, just in different terms than we use. If you have a technical conversation with Bill or Jerry you will pick up on their terminology. Just have to look outside the "box" sometimes. :)
 
So #601 has a "shelf life" once its mixed w/ other DG products then? IMO #111 isn't a polish, here or on the moon, LOL!
