Another one of those $60 specials from the shop down the road....

Customer had this car done by another detailer the other week and well you will be able to tell by the pictures that customer was not all to happy when he got it back. Gabe from Sprayglo sent him my way and I put that car back on the straighten arrow path to looking perfect.

Customers just wanted to get the car washed and the never ending holograms to go away and then get the car looking shiny was a pretty simple deal. Washed the car, taped it up and got down to it with a 1-Step Hologram Removal process and then sealed the car up to give it that wet look and give it some long lasting protection.

Process:

Wash w/ Foam Gun w/ P21 Wash mixed with CG Wash'n'Gloss
Buffed via GG DA w/ LC White Pad w/ SIP
Sealed w/ BFWD

I wanted one of those so bad when I was 17...got an 06 STi instead. Beautiful car, and beautiful job.
 
Nice job saving resurrecting the paint.
I was about to ask how fast it went down the 1/4 mile. Seeing the Tial wastegate and the wrapped manifold. And then I saw your post.
 
Yeah I love fast cars, but I hated this car. Twin Disk Carbon Clutches are in my nightmares. I lost count on how many times I stalled this thing trying to move it. It makes somewhere around 780awhp on low boost and E85 and somewhere around 900awhp on high boost and E85.
 
That is one really sick car!
780awhp !!! I would pay to have a ride in that car! ahah
 
Did you get a chance to inspect the paint in the sun?

I need to pull the trigger on some menz polishes... 85rd... now I think SIP might get added to the order... all depending on how these OPT polishes work out for me

What's up with the tranny? Did you take yours out to wash and wax your tunnel? :laughing:

Yes, I would have gotten some pictures of it in the sun, but I was in the process of washing another car at the time the sun popped out for a few minutes and hands where a little to soapy to go grab my camera. It was definatly swirl free.

Those are some fast cars .... That one does not look stock just from what I can see.

For anyone reading this that might not know... in the above pictures the "lines" you see in the paint are called "Holograms" or "Rotary Buffer Swirls" and they are caused by the mis-use of a rotary buffer.

What Mirror Detailing did was professionally re-polish the paint and remove the holograms or rotary buffer swirls, (the terms are interchangeable).

Anytime a detailer offers to machine polish your car's paint for less than $100.00 and you see them pull out a rotary buffer, chance are VERY GOOD they are going to instill rotary buffer swirls and simply mask them with a coat of wax before returning the car to you. This is the normal process at most new and used car dealerships and also body shops.

Yeah SIP is always good for situations like this. Removed all of the holograms and finished down nicely at the same time! One of my favorite polishes.

Had I got a better angle on the front bumper you would be able to see the 42R hanging around!
