Hello, I have been on here reading for a while and could use a few suggestions. I have a 2010 King Ranch Super Duty that I would like to protect correctly. I have 2 things against me from the go. Houston TX heat. And I live on Galveston bay. Salt humidity. I have a assortment of waxes and glazes and 3M compounds and finesse along with rotary with wool and foam pads. However I am sure I am better off with the PC for a new finish. I have used rejex before on my boats and airplane but I am hoping for some recommendations on clays, pads for PC, sealants etc. The truck is white platinum tri-coat so no apparent swirls. Thanks in advance all recommendations appreciated. Robert
 
My favorite go-to clay is Claymagic that can conveniently enough be had at many local stores.

Get yourself 3-4 orange pads (if you only have 1 or 2 you will NOT be able to complete that truck in a single sitting) a couple white pads for final polishing and gray or blue pads for wax/sealant.

As far as sealant goes...I love how M-Seal from chemical guys looks against white, but that's just personal preference. There are tons of great sealants out there. You can throw your Rejex on if you like.

Just be ready for a LONG day with that beast of a truck, ha ha.
 
Thanks for the reply. All of the choices of product are not a good thing for me as I find myself constantly wondering what would be the "best" product.:xyxthumbs:
 
Often the "best" is a subjective phrase, especially when speaking about the look that the LSP provides.

As far as durability...Sealants will have more sustained durability than a traditional carnauba, and you can definitely do a search to see all of the various opinions on which sealants people enjoy. Like I already said, I enjoy M-Seal a great deal on white vehicles, especially when topped with a carnauba. I also like the Sunburst Sealant that Showroom FX makes.
 
Well I am fairly new to this too but if I may input my luck with a sealant called
JETSEAL109. I have used this with amazing results you can layer it after it bonds and get a deeper darker Shine. It last under harsh condition fairly well.
 
I have a 2010 White Platinum F150 that I just detailed after owning it for 2 weeks.
I used Klass AIO as the base protectant and and then finished it with Wolfgang sealer and it looks spectacular! This White Platinum paint really looks deep after the 2 days of work I out into it. IMO, it could not look better.
I chose these products because, like you, I have a somewhar harsh environment that requires real PROTECTION and I also wanted a good shine.
Good luck, you have a great vehicle, but it is really big (mine is a SCREW).
 
I really like products with Polycharger. Four Star and Ultima use it . I think Four Star Ultimate Protection and Spray Wax would be a good way to go in Houston. Spray wax adds easy extra protection!2x

:iagree: for inbetween actual waxing sessions. As far as what to seal and wax with in Texas, I'd seal with Collonite 845, let cure, then top with Finish Kare 1000P high temp paste wax. This is an unbeatable combination for high temps imo...

Finish Kare 1000P Hi-Temp Paste Wax, high melt polymer car wax, Finish care auto wax

Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax #845, liquid wax, heat-resistant wax, car wax
