need help and advice

Hey guys. I bought a new car about six months ago and got into detailing shortly after. I just bout my pc and some menzerna ip and fp. I also got some xmt360.. I've got plenty of wax and plan to seal with klasse and top with souveran... can I please get some advice of taping and the process you would use. It was mentioned to me when I learned how to use a pc but I'm in desperate need of some professional advice. Like where to tape off and so on. So far my idea is to
Wash with dawn
Clay with ultra Polly clay

After this my game plan gets confusing to me and I have a fee options.
I would love to hit it with 360 on the white pad but if that doesn't work maybe
Ip with Orange pad
Then maybe fp with Orange pad

Then apply klasse
12 hr cure time and then souveran or fusion

Any help with the process and general advice would be useful. Thanks everyone
 
Xmt360 is an AIO and best used alone when you are looking for a one step product. I would personally never go more abrasive in pad than white with it for fear of marring from pad.

As for polishes, IP is more abrasive than FP. If you are using LC pads then you wont wanna use orange pad with FP , but perhaps with IP. Then move back to FP and lighter pad to finish down.

You can then apply Klasse and topper or just wax depending on choice. You do want some cure time with Klasse but nothing heavy unless using the sealant (silver bottle) too.
 
I only bought the grey bottle. I didn't order the red because i thought I would like 360 better. What pad would you use with the fp? And would you apply the klasse with a pc or by hand?
 
Since FP is a final polish its best used with a finishing pad (grey, blue, or red).

Klasse SG (silver) -- best applied by hand in the following method. Transfer no more than 1-2 ounces to a small travel size spray bottle. Spritz each panel no more than twice and immediately buff in with towel. Flip towel and immediately buff off. Allow 12-24 hours to fully cure. If you choose other methods Klasse SG can be a bear to remove and very finicky.
 
One final question. My Honda is a red mango pearl. In your opinion should I top the klasse with fusion or souveran. I realize souveran is the forum favorite but I really want the pearl to pop... I read that maxwax is preferred but I only have souveran, fusion, and all of the poor boys paste waxes...
 
While working the pc do o need to tape off body lines or watch out for any particular spots on my vehicle? I was told to tape off where the pannels meet. But your opinion is greatly needed. This will be my first polish by myself and I'm a lil anxious:)

Tape off any pebble textured black plastic trim and any plastic or rubber trim, it's easier and faster to tape trim off then it is to try to remove polish residue for the rest of your life...

The only taping I do on my 05 Honda Accord, Graphite Pearl paint, is the rubber gaskets around the top of the doors. All other black trim is smooth and wipes clean very easily if I get polish/wax on the trim. Oh, I do cover the wiper arms, either with tape or a towel.
