This customer is a regular who had his previous dually stolen after he had a brake job done and went to pick it up 2 hours after closing.
They have the thief on camera but can't make out who it is.
He went shopping for another dually with the 7.3 liter and ended up finding one all the way in washington state, everyone i guess is looking for the 7.3 because they know the new 6.0 is a piece if garbage
This is an 02 with 45K on the odometer.
It's a work truck all the way as he pulls a trailer daily for his bread and cookie route that he owns so i didn't go crazy to correct the paint all the way.
I used a swirl remover with a green pad on my old pc, followed by sig II.
this swirl remover leaves no dust and fifnished really smooth, often with no need to follow up with a finishing polish.
The wheels he just added but 3 of them are going back since they damaged them during installation.

nice going!! by the way my 6.0 is over 4 years old with no probs..:xyxthumbs:

That truck looks awesome! GREAT JOB!!!
My son has an old 1989 Dodge PU he wants to sell. So I told him to bring it over and I'll do my first full detail on it. His truck has probley never been waxed. I bought a 7424xp during the sale so plan to try out all kinds of products on the PU to make it shine. First real full detail job, I'm excited!!!

yes, the 7.3's are basically one the best deisel motors ever built. i know people who have 500K plus and the 7.3 motor has had no major work besides what the owners manual says. Neighbor across the street had an all black 4dr dually for sale, low miles with the 7.3. i wanted it SOOOO bad but he sold it b4 i knew about it.

the 6.0's arent bad, but not good. they arent a motor you go looking to find in a truck, like the 7.3.

Good looking truck! The 6.0 is actually fairly reliable. Besides the consenus of some of the late 03 and early 04 first production runs most are really good trucks. Just get the headstuds done, delete the EGR, and tune it with the supporting mods the truck is very reliable with quite a bit of power!

You got real lucky from what i hear according to those who know.
That's the reason he went looking for a truck with the 7.3, he found plenty of newer trucks but he was warned not to buy anything with a 6.0

Take your time and use the right methods and products, you should be able to make the truck look good.
Show us some pics when you're done.
