Just wanted to drop a line to say hi. After looking at some posts on another forum from AutoGeek, I realized that I haven't been detailing/cleaning my cars correctly.

Mainly checked out the site to get info. on removing oxidation from my '69 Corvette, but didn't realize that the daily drivers need to be hit with clay bar as well.

Anyway, glad to be part of the forum and hope to learn more.

A 1969 Corvette is a very cool car to own... you say it has oxidation? Does it still have the original paint?

That's the article I read on the Corvetteforum, great article!

The '69 was repainted at some point, still a single stage paint and the original color, Lemans Blue. The question I have is the Dodo wax - what type would I get for the Lemans Blue color. My wife's car is a 2008 Nissan Maxima - the color is Super Black, what kind of Dodo wax would I need for it as well.

Getting ready to order the supplies mentioned in the article. I used the clear sandwich bag trick to show my wife how bad her Maxima is!

I really like the how to videos that you include for novices like me!

How about Blue Velvet?

The Blue Velvet can be used on a clear coated black finish with great results, the most important factor as it relates to great results is surface prep.

Thanks for the kind words, and on that note I would just like to point out that the videos are the result of Max's vision and willingness to grow the car hobby...
