Just wondering which products you have been disappointed in despite reading some pretty good reviews.

For me:

DP Carpet Cleaner: Not any better than anything else I've used. It did get the carpet cleaner, but didn't remove some stains I thought it would easily. Not impressed.

Amazing Roll Off: Didn't seem to clean any better than plain old Simple Green. I did a half and half compare on my greasy BBQ lid, and there was no difference between the products.

On the other hand, I thought Optimum No Rinse was one of the best products I've used. It exceeded my expectations.

303 Aerospace

  • 303 Aerospace really didn't impress me at all and in my opinion is not even in the same class as Poorboy's World trim Restorer or the Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant. 303 Aerospace goes on milky and watery thin. It leaves streaking on wider areas and when it dries it's very dull and lifeless. To be quite honest it reminds me of Armor All which I stopped using nearly 30 years ago.

  • A note to keep in mind is that all the testing was done on exterior trim. 303 Aerospace could be an entirely different animal if used on the interior.

DP Autobath shampoo.

Wasn't very lubricating unless I used a truck load of shampoo (more than 1oz per gallon) and the suds it produces are almost nill and disappear so quickly when it comes to rinse a panel it's hard to tell where I've rinsed and where I haven't before I've even touched it with the hose!

Wax blaster.
Did nothing at all to wax stains left on black trim. Luckily the stains are only small and on the edge, but very disappointing for a product whos only purpose is to remove these.

:iagree:

I agree with ARO. I sprayed, let dwell longer than my APC+ and it did the same. I used at full strength.

On the ARO did you wet the area fist as that is what activates it. Then let dwell

PB's bug squash, did nothing for my bugs.

Crystal Mist detail spray, no matter how little i used still streaked.

Im surprised by you having bad results with bug squash. It is my go to choice with the pinnacle bug sponge thing.

I agree on the exterior I do not like 303 but I do like it better on the interior, and really like Megs Ultimate Protectant on the exterior but on the interior gives a too glossy look that reflects on front window in direct sunlight.

303 is a protectant not a trim restorer like PB. 303 does have an uneven look on many plastics.

For those complaining about Wax Blaster, take a regular ol' pink eraser that's on a pencil, or a larger one to your trim. It will take the dried old white wax right off!

I really like the 303AP for my convertible top, it makes it sparkle and when I bought the car the top was almost a charcoal gray color and now it is black. I like it on interior too, it has a little shine but not too much, I spray it on a MF covered foam applicator and it goes a long way. I have not used it on exterior trim but was going to try it after cleaning with APC+, but maybe I need some PB TR.

Not sure why you would start another one of these threads?
