OVERATED: Which Products In Your Opinion?

I would take it you have used it and disagree, or are you just a victim of marketing dollars?
I've used both and disagree. I was sent samples of the entire britemax line. And while some worked better than others I can honestly say that I don't feel a single Britemax product worked better than the Meguiars counterpart. I wouldn't ever pay for a britemax product, and I will continue to pay for the Meguairs products that I know work. I'm not saying all Meguiars products are awesome, but britemax might be one of the least effective lines I have ever used.

That is also my understanding. Which is why I use Tide Free which is free of Perfumes, Dyes, Softeners etc.... Works great:dblthumb2:
That's what I use as well (HE version). Works like a charm! And you can get it on sale for ~$5.

Ok bud:

1. There are 18 products in the Britemax line last I looked at my order form
2. They would never "sample" the entire line, they're a small company with a quality product and I doubt they have budgets to sample entire lines, they actually, last I checked had 4 products in sample size and pretty much always have in the 6 years I have known of them.
3. Wouldnt pay for their product? The Metal Polish and Spray and Shine are by far THE BEST on the market hands down of course in my humble 20 years of experience in the biz exp. I have guys that drive 40 miles to get the stuff as Im the closest dealer around and it aint 5 bucks. Seems your married to a brand and thats cool but before you start spoutin off about a good solid product at least know what you're talkin about.

Maybe this review website that reviews everything from panties to zebras is wrong too?

Meg vs Britemax - Spray Wax
Meguiar's Quick Wax - webBikeWorld
Britemax #6S Spray & Shine Quick Polish - webBikeWorld

Meg vs Britemax - Metal Polish
Meguiar's All Metal Restorer - webBikeWorld
Metal Master Easy Cut Metal Cleaner & Final Shine Metal Cleaner and Sealer - webBikeWorld

Ok, I've put too much into this post now, just sayin maybe you havent tried "all" the products, couldnt have tried these.

Peace

Simple way to settle this, send several samples of the Britemax products you have claimed are better than Meguiar's on this forum over the last few days (metal polish and shampoo are a couple that I can remember) to the review king (Corey- CeeDog) and get him to comapre them against what Meguiar's products you consider them to be better than.

Now I can understand that since you probably don't have any of those Meguiar's products to send to him since you are such a loyal britemax user, it will require someone else on the forum to step up and send him a sample of those products.

Very easy way to settle this as Coreys reviews are some of the most objective reviews there are.

Infact, why not put those Britemax products up against the best Meguiar's products, i.e. Ultimate Quik Detailer vs spray and shine quick polish rather than just Meguiar's Quick Wax

:iagree: Those reviews are of meguiars old and out dated products so its not really a fair comparison. A good comparison would be against megs uqd or uqw.

I'm with you Matt, and if there isn't a sound way to settle this "it will drag on". Like Matt said Corey is very objective.

I really don't think it will matter. This britemax salesman will continue to tout his product on these forums regardless.

LMFAO, I love how you call me bud, considering you don't even know me. I also love how you assume that I am full of sh*t...

I have tried ALL of the products Britemax has to offer, and while none of them are bad, or don't work I would never PAY for them. I didn't find that I had a need for any of these products.

As for your "source" I love how for the Meguiars Quik Wax they claim it doesn't last very long but for the Britemax product they don't even talk about the durability. Not really a fair comparison now is it?

Now with the Meguairs Metal Polish, this site gave it a good review, but only rated it a 2/5...how much sense does that make? Not very much if you ask me. So please forgive me if I don't agree with a site that can't even get basic reviews right.

So in conclusion, I find it vey funny that you are getting so defensive about these products. Makes it almost sound like you might work for the company....Im the MAN

Don't know if this helps or not, but I got curious about Britemax and did a few web searches. Most of the results are old - 2009 and back - and most of them are on bike sites. A quick read of these sites shows me that the target audience isn't really interested in detailing, but rather a quick clean and decent shine for road bikes. One Harley site compared Britemax Spray and Shine to Lemon Pledge as what we'd call a quick detailer (they did like it better). Another site did mention the wheel cleaner as pretty good. From 2009 post on Autopia, Britemax seems to be a boutique brand that possibly got sold a couple times. The only recent mention appears to be on the webBikeWorld site. Now, this doesn't mean that the products are good or bad, just that they're an unknown quantity. I saw no comparison testing to any better known brands.

Britemax is often discussed on UK based forums.

Yeah, but not by memebrs with only a few post, and I recently saw a new member on Autopia talking about nothing but Britemax....may have even ahd the same screen name, but I can't find the posts now for some reason.

A few guys on TID said they've been receiving Britemax SPAM too....I could be wrong though.

If it is spam, i don't think anyone (including me) is comfortable with that. I just happended to notice there is a greater level of popularity in the UK than in the US for Britemax.

not to mention he flat out said he was a britemax dealer. This guy is a joke. I'm all for trying new products, but he obviously has an agenda. I never trust the opinions of people selling products. Just my .02

Yeah, lots of products seem to be that way over their.

I could care less really, but the user on Autopia jumped in on a Meguars MF thread and started talking about Britemax, which took me as odd. I looked at all his post (10-15) and most of them were Britemax related with links. All his post are gone now so I can only assume the mods deleted them and his account...I'm pretty sure it was the same user name as it caught my eye, but since the post are gone from Autopia I can't be sure....

Yes, I found a few UK links and a UK distributor. Not that much discussion compared to other products that seem popular across the pond. I also did not see any comparison tests, although a few users had positive comments about the metal polish. I did see flashyrides state that he retails Britemax. He might want to take a sales course. Showing up on any internet site (or in person) insulting people who are potential customers and dismissing every product but your own is not an effective sales technique.

Lol, that doesn't give them credibility? Dodo Juice Supernatural next to Bebe super pushup double cup bra? :)
I think it is generally a good idea never to mention panties and zebras in the same breath. I can imagine someone reviewing panties, and have an idea of the criteria, but reviewing zebras??? I don't even know where to begin......
