What are you working on today?

I recently picked up a set of 4 old school Aluminum Slotted Mag Wheels for my truck and today they're getting and extreme makeover...

These are in about the same shape as the wheel that Oley from Flitz and I restored in this thread...

Oley calls this "White Rust"

First up... wash with Flitz Aluminum Pre-Clean. In the link above there's a video where we used this product and the results were truly amazing...

Next up will be putting the Wolfgang Aluminum Polishing System to the test...

Even though the backs and insides of the wheels are not seen I'm going do my best to clean them up a little bit...

WOW I haven't seen Slots in forever. Can't wait to see them shining like they should.

I started cleaning the interior of my S2K, (I think AG has improved my eyesight, I never saw this much dirt in my car before) then the sun came around the house and that black just got too hot so up went the EZ up and I am having some lunch while it cools back down. I'll post some pics when I'm done.

Good idea Tom, take care of that wife of yours, she needs you and the truck can wait. I hope everything is going good, I've been thinking about all of you .

You're a brave man! I'm looking forward to seeing the final results.

I plan on giving my suv a good bath and a little tlc inside. Then get the scratches off my hood where the manager at a local dealership tossed his notebook on the hood. He did this trying to get the VIN.........right after he complimented how nice the paint looked!

:bash:

I washed my truck and I'm as wet as the truck, it is so HUMID! So now I'm chillin reading AG.

That is so true, never thought of it that way.

WOW, thats a very aggressive project Mike, good luck! I'm sure they will turn out great, but what a lot of work. Glad it's you and not me going at 'em. I'm thinking I need to change the resin in the CR Spotless today and give the Pony a bath, maybe even the Dodge!

Going to be washing and waxing my truck. Washing the wife's truck. and going to give the Z06 a little love as well. lots of dust and dirt and dirt hangin out on my black beast.

That is when my wife gets back from her mani and pedi and i'm off of baby duty...lol

Can't wait to see how the wheels turn out. I am cleaning the second garage to make more space for the new Jr Dragster (now have 2) and my tool box. Started a new career and will be bringing my box home next week and have no space to put it. Should make for a long day.

they sure will look great with a set of Boggers on them

hmmmmmm.....big block and boggers...it doesn't get any better than that

All you guys washing your vehicles ...What am I doing today, I'm stuck at work waiting for people to do stuff, but I'd rather be washing my Truck (it's been too long)

Well, I was gonna get up somewhat early and wash my Aura, until my mom comes in and wakes me up with "There's a giant limb on your car!" I was expect a decent sized limb, not one that would cost me a new roof, trunk, C pillar and back glass. So I didn't wash my Aura today.

After I wash the car I'll be taping off the upper grille part of the bumper on my Accord and then laying down some fibre glass to make a custom grille. The car goes in for paint on Monday to repair the key mark in the 2 month old paint job. So I've got to get the grille done this weekend so I can get it painted at the same time.

I don't think anyone is going to be able to fix that. It looks like a write off to me.

$14k worth of damage?! We dropped it off at the body shop this morning, so we won't know anything till Monday at the earliest.

I was waiting for it. What kind of compound should I get? I was thinking about rubbing my Hydro Tech Cyan pad across my alley and start at it. Should give me a good cut to start with.

Make sure its body shop safe. :)
