On the foam gun, there are settings for 1, 2, 4 oz's, etc per gallon. If I am interpreting this correctly, setting it to the 3rd hole will mix the contents of the bottle with water at a ratio of 4 oz's per gallon.

Is that correct?

The reason that I ask is that I see a lot of folks mixing the soap with some water in the bottle first. When I do this, I find that

1) the car is not as slick when I wash it (using Gold Class soap) and

2) the water/soap solution in the bottle drains much faster vs using straight Gold Class in the bottle

If I recall correctly, Meg's recommends 2oz per gallon. I think I'm safe using the 3rd hole for a 4oz/gallon w/o stripping.

What are your thoughts on diluted vs non-diluted solutions in the bottle?
For those that use Gold Class, what settings/ratios do you use?

I Uses DP Xtreme foam and it says on the bottle to mix 2oz in the canister with water. And it makes the surface very slick. What I do is foam the entire car, let it dwell then rinse. After that I foam one section at a time and wash (If I'm not doing a bucket wash). I'd thin it would have trouble drawing pure soap into the solution unless it's thin.
