Hey everyone I am glad to have joined the Autogeek forum. I have been a customer with them for a while already and have been into detailing for years. I have an 04 Black Mustang GT and did some paint correction with my PC 7424XP last month. I have a link from another forum I am part of with details on the products and techniques I used tell me what you think. (link at end of thread) I am looking into upgrading from a PC to a rotary and have my eye on the Makita 9227 CX-3 to get every bit of gloss I can out of my GT.:buffing: Any backing plates and pad sizes and type you can suggest for it looking to make the purchase by the end of the year. The products I have are listed below.

Washing:
Pinnacle Foam Gun
Chemical Guys Glossworkz
Chemical Guys Synthetic QD
Poor Boys Waterless Wash
Stoners glass cleaner
Megs Ultimate wash & wax
Grit Guards
Microfiber Mitts
Sheep Skin Mitts
All Microfiber from DI

For correction:
Clay Magic Fine clay bar
Megs M105
Megs M205
Menz 85RD

LSP's:
Backfire Wet Diamond
Natty's World Blue

For protection:
303 Aerospace protectant
Natty's World Trim restore
Megs Quick Interior detailer
Megs gold class leather cleaner/conditioner (replacing it with something better either CG cleaner/conditioner or leatherique)

Don't get discouraged. There are quite a few lurkers out there that don't post at all. I used to be one of them. :) I am still very new to the world of detailing and have mostly been soaking up as much as I can from these forums. I can't say much about your list of products as I have not used any of them. I can't remember how many views there were on mine before someone said hi, but I know it wasn't anything personal. :)

:welcome:

:welcome: To Autogeek Danny!

I think your Mustang came out great and it would be nice to see those photos posted here!

Regarding the Makita 9227; I have it and really like it allot. I use 6" Lake Country Kompressor pads and most of my initial paint correction it done with it.

You have some nice products starting off but I suspect you'll add to your empire as time passes.....

Welcome man!
I use the rotary with 8" Megs Pads and it works perfect!

Makita makes a very nice rotary buffer, it will give you years of uninterrupted service.

I read through the thread... not a tough crowd but certainly they let you know what they think...

I try to welcome all new members and chime in on as many threads but it's all to easy to miss one now and then...

Putting up a post at 1130 at night might mean you will not get a response till the next day. I know we have a lot of night owls here but that is even a little late for me to be on here.
So welcome to the forum.

:welcome:

The car looks great. I have a 2003 Mustang Cobra. Love the car.

Hey thanks everyone for welcoming me, for a while I though I might of came off too strong with the name of the thread. By no means am I as knowledgeable as others so I hope I didn't offend anyone by the name of the thread.

Mike thanks for the reply its cool now that I am a part of the Autogeek forums. Can ask you about products if you dont mind? I see you on 2 Guy's Garage every week, love the tips and tricks. You do great work and I have learned some techniques from you.

Don congrats on owning a terminator and thanks for the complements, I am hoping to sell my GT in the future to get a termi in either sonic blue, black, or mystichrome.
