I'm getting ready to place an order. Will the following combination work well to give my car decent winter protection while at the same time being an easy to apply combination? Also, once I apply Klasse AIO can I immediately apply the Ultima Paint Guard Plus or should I wait? The other combination I'm considering is Klasse AIO topped with DP Poli-Coat. Thanks.

Instead of UPGP, I would say grab some Collinite 845 (liquid insulator wax). Great for winter protection. It is very easy to use as long as you apply it thin. Very thin.

All of these new threads talking about winter protection is starting to depress me :( This guy HATES winter

Ditto. I have so many things I want to try. I just starting doing this in July. Now I have to sit on a lot of products that I want to try until next year.

Dewayne, I agree. Its been over 90 degrees today and Faall hasnt started. Been too friggin hot to enjoy going topless. Guys, lets enjoy a few fall weeks vbefore we get to talking winter please!

It will work wonderfully providing you take your time with both products. That's assuming no other work is required, which is questionable. No clay, no machine polish required?

I have both products and can tell you it worked for me.

I'm no scientist, but I remember reading (somewhere) how the UPGP molecules actually "displace" previously applied protectants, which is why UPGP can be applied even on top of carnauba waxes. Something to do with molecule size, I think. Optimum Opti-Seal has a similar action. What is unclear to me is whether the previously applied protectant is "destroyed" or whether it moves to the top level. Either way, it does not sound like UPGP makes a good "topper."

UPGP is my go-to protectant for our CR-V. I've been toying with the idea of using it as my base protectant and then topping it with FK 1000p; but I suspect that I will just go with two coats of 1000p this winter and see if it's as durable as everyone says.
