I have a new Flex DA and love it. Did my first two practice cars to get the hang of it.
Now I'm ready for my Corvette Z06 and my freinds new 08 BMW 750. I can't afford any hard lessons.
I am concerned about all the edges (Corvettes have a lot of them) and polishing through the clearcoat.
Should I tape them off untill the final pass to be safe?
How does everyone else avoid damage?
thanks,
Al

i do the edges by hand.... lol dont want to risk anythin:buffing:

So do you just keep the polishing pad away from them while you are polishing?
I'm worried about making a pass too close and going over the edge.
thants why I was thinking of taping them off, or will that bring different problems?
Thanks
Al

You can polish right up to the edges, just don't go over them. You will probably need some 4" or 3.5" pads for the tight areas.
