Hello everyone,
I have learned how to wash, claybar, and polish a car, but I have not found the right towels to use. My car is black and it looks good, but when you get it in the bright sunlight you can see a few mild scratches. I think it must be the towels.
I use microfiber towels that will not scratch a blank CD. I just can not get it perfect like I want it. Can someone please help me with this probelm.

Thanks

I use the cobra indigo edgeless towels for removing polishes mostly. They work great :) Also the gold ones work well. Which do you use? Scratches are inevitable but the best way to almost be sure bits of particulates or anything are not in the towel(s) is to use a brand new, unused towel each time you switch to another towel. And even then there might be something you can't see in the weaves when you first get the towel that might put scratches in the flawless finish.

Not sure if I misunderstand your point but you should wash your brand new towels before ever using them.

:iagree: The indigo's are nice and wash new MF towels before first use.

Thanks everyone, I will remove the fine scratches and try the Cobra Indigo Microfiber Polishing Cloth. Does anyone know if there is any logic to not use colored towels?
Several people have told me to use white only because of the dye in colored towels.
Any opions on this

The die will have no impact. The excess die will be washed out on the first wash anyway.

Like the others, I use the Cobra Indigo towels. I also picked up some of the Arctic White ones when they were on BOGO. As far as I can tell they are identical performance wise.

I have washed the White and Indigo ones together, and the White ones have turned light blue.

I recently got some Pak Shak towels on a recommendation from another forumite and they're really nice heavy towels. No lint yet either.
