Here in NJ the temps are starting to drop a bit and winter isn't all that far off so it's time to start getting the paint ready for the nasty weather ahead. I've started by using Collinite 845, two coats so far and will probably put another one or two in the next week. I was wondering what some of you folks living where cold climate hits, will be using to protect there paint?

I went with menz power lock, and P21 100%, also got me some Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant.

what is the best way to put on wg deep gloss, hand or buffer?

Already Done!

Clay
Polish
Menzerna Power-Lock
Collinite 845

Optimum Spray Wax or Pinnacle Souverän Liquid Spray Wax between washings. :props:

Don't forget the wheels and tires!

I just keep supernatural on my Infiniti. I am going to try the Dodo skull candy on the wifes DD when I get it. We will see how well their hybrid wax does in the Chicago winters.

Hand IMO

I've tried several methods and find myself apply more and more liquids using my DA polisher. This method allows me to control the amount of product I use and apply a more uniform coat of product.

It not only guarantees a more uniform coverage, it doesn't waste expensive products unnecessarily.

Everybody has different preferences. Some like bourbon, others like scotch. Some like hand application, others like DA application. Try both and pick what works for you best. There is no right or wrong answer to the application question.

...why is this in show and shine?

But to add to the thread, 2 coats WDGPS 2 coats Liquid Souveran

They put so much salt on the roads in the winter,it looks like a layer of snow on the roads :(.
I'll see how one of my combo's holds up?

One of my work vehicles (LHS) that see's alot of road time recieved:
(2) Coats of RejeX,applied by hand
(2) Coats of Collinite's#845,applied by hand

I have some WGDGS3.0 and PinnacleSPW on the way. This combo will be for my Chrysler300 and TA WS6.

Salt Sucks!!

I agree with Bobby on the Pinnacle Souverän Liquid Spray. I love this stuff more and more each time I use it!

Autogeek had the 64oz size on sale so I scooped it up with the 15% discount the other day. :props: :props:

I tried the sample and ended up buying a gallon on free shipping and 10% off!! Keeps impressing me each time I use it!! A bit pricy but well worth it!

NXT 2.0 wax?

is Meg's NXT Wax 2.0 any good as sealant against rain and snow?
how NXT 2.0 vs Collinite 845 ?

I'd say 845 wins hands down in terms of gloss, durability and slickness after its applied. U just gotta shake it up very very well and spread thin. Meg's NXT2 didn't last long at all the time I tried it.

winter ugggg.. reminds me i need to winter prep my truck .
