Funny thing is, they wash each plane every 30 days and wax every 90. They said they found out they last longer and do not corrode that way. I found that very interesting to listen to. Hate to be the one waxing those planes, I hope its a spray on!

Maybe they have their own version of Joe Fernandez and his crew that has done multiple aircraft details including a former Air Force One.

If the epoxy in between the laminations fails, all the wax in the world won't prevent corrosion, and ultimately failure. Passenger jets are designed to last somewhere in between 15-25 years, or about 80-90k take-offs and landings. Each time a plane takes off, it is pressurized and each time it lands, it is de-pressurized.

Think about it, after 90 plus thousand times being pressurized, and depressurized, that is a heck of a lot of stress, thus the service life will be over at this point.
