Hi,

Do you guyz separated all the MF based on usage when cleaning?

As have been know that never mix wax MF with others MF as it will clog up MF which decrease the MF performace...Today I accidentally mix my washing MF with polishing MF and put together to soak and washing ...

Do i need to replace those MF?

BR

You will be just fine... Don't worry about it...

I separate into 2 categories when washing. Towels that touch the paint and towels that don't. Might not make a difference, but it makes me feel better.

that being said though, I think you will be fine with what you did.

Towels that are really disgusting get run through a first wash/rinse. Then I add the remaining MFs and run them all through with a proper cleaner. No problems to date.

If you used warm/hot water I'd imagine the wax dissolved out just fine.

I wash all mine together - wax towels, polishing towels, glass towels, interior towels, drying towels - and have never had a problem. I don't use enough towels to warrant separate loads. The only exception is tire/wheel towels - I just use some cheapo towels like the bag of rags from Wal-Mart and use them until they get grungy, then throw them away and get new ones.

I separate the towels I use for my wheels from the rest. Those towels, if especially dirty, receive two washes.

I keep the stuff that touches my paint separate from everything else.

Hey man, I just noticed your location is Pittsburgh, I live about 30 minutes west of you in WV.....are you a pro detailer?

nope..I only really detail my car and once in a while do some friends cars

Only ones I separate are my wheel cloths, I also do 2 rinse cycles and have never had a problem this way.

I put them all together, with the exception of the ones I use with sealer, and when I do an ONR wash, I always use my crapiest MF on the wheels and they end up in the garbage...

I would highly recommend that you don't mix your glass ww towels with your other mf. Even the best mf's can sometime lint. Nothing bothers me most then seeing lint on my windows.

I tooo suggest glass towels kept seperate from other MF, and all MF towels kept away from any other towels or laundry.

:iagree:I'll let the washer fill with warm water, then add little extra detergent then normal, and set it on heavy load. After all that then I'll add the towels, not one issue thus far.
