Flex 3401 with M86 Solo, Rejex and the new Meguiar's Microfiber Pads
Had some product testing to do today with the Meguiar's Microfiber DA Correction System and the Flex 3401 and while I was at it I wanted to try out the Solo M86 with the Flex 3401 and the Solo Diamond pads.
My demo car is the 2003 Honda Civic LX we used for the Optimum Polish video back in May of this year. Since then the Honda has been parked out side 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and while the finish still looks great it was ready for a fresh coat of wax.

Back in 2006, I was given some microfiber pads to test out and I remember using them with M86 and a DA Polisher with phenomenal results. So while M86 is only recommended for use with a rotary buffer since it worked well with the Microfiber pads and a Porter Cable DA Polisher, I wanted to test it out with the new Microfiber Pads on the Flex 3401 and also the foam Solo Pads.
After polishing out the car with the M86 with the Solo yellow Diamond Cut Foam pad I followed this with Rejex and the Solo black Diamond Cut Foam pad.
The Solo pads worked well on the Flex 3401 as did the M86 and the Rejex. The new DA Microfiber pads and Compound and Polish wax created excellent results but there's definitely a different feel to buffing with microfiber pads on the Flex 3401 versus buffing with thicker, traditional foam pads.
Here's some pictures...
I turned the car back over to the owner and it's time to shut down Autogeek's Show Car Garage...
