Those are my top two next car choices (within budget, never mind what I REALLY want).

Whats the clear coat and paint like on them. I'm especially curious about the Saab because the Lincoln is probably close to my Ford.

Thanks,
Mike

I had a 2002 9-3 Ragtop in Cosmic Blue. It was fairly hard. Really fun car, but Im glad I had a good warranty. You will have an easier time with maintenance with the Lincoln, IMO. My Ford has been pretty reliable and the clear is ceramic.

Thats what I figured. I heard Saabs are expensive to fix, but there is something about them I like...

THe Lincoln has more features, especially the cooled seats.

My wife has an LS... But I've honestly never done any correction on it. The pearl white hides everything so well. Plus I hate working on white. Just an AIO or paint cleaner twice a year.

I owned a lot of Saabs and the pre-GMs are a delight. The '95+ can be a nightmare and as expensive to repair as more exotic offerings.

I'm looking for a low-mileage LS creampuff myself. Seems like they're keepers, those that are for sale folks are a bit too proud of 'em to even make an offer.

I would go with the lincoln...a friend in high school had a 9-3 and when parts needed to be replaced, it cost him a pretty penny.

I used to own a LS. I loved it. IMO they are a true sleeper. They are very nice inside. Get a v8. The paint is typical Ford paint and corrects easy enough and doesnt get scratched up too bad. Ill try to dig up a picture to post later on.

The LS did have a few problems under the hood but was always easy enough to fix on my own.

Get the LS. Here's my 04 LS V6. It was lowered with Eibach springs and 18" wheels.

Are those wheels the ASA JH9? Not to be negative or anything, the car looks nice a little lower, but there are definitely better options out there for wheels. At the end of the day though, it's your car and you're the one driving it. :xyxthumbs:

Yes they are! It rode to nice to go any lower than what it already was.

Thats a good looking LS.

Here is the only picture of my old one I was able to find.

Cool. Thanks for helping me make a decision. Might go test 1 of 3 LS at my local Lincoln dealer tomorrow... They look nice but I worry about the RWD in the winter.

They look to be better on gas than my Explorer too, not much but I want plenty of power, you know?

I'll keep you guys posted.

I own a 04-T-Bird that is real similar to the Lincoln LS,my advice is to go on a Ford forum for the LS and see what they have to say about the year your interested in.I joined a forum for 2002-05 T-Birds and the advice has been priceless.

Your LS looks pretty awesome lowered etc. I have a 2003 sport premium with the V8. It has 30,000 KLMS on it. Its dark blue. Chrome wheels. I would post a picture, but not sure how to do it. What year is yours? I purchased it used. My neighbor owned it from new. He traded it in last November with 25,000 kilometers on it. It is still like new. Before I would purchase it they had to put shift solenoids in the transmission and some part in the steering as there was play in the steering wheel. It's been good since. Although, I don't use it as my daily driver. Right now it's in the garage for the winter. Just too nice of a car to drive where calcium is used on the roads.

I've owned 3 Saabs, fun to drive, terrible to own. No more, ever.

Test drove the Lincoln today, loved everything but the color (Silver). I like black, red, green or blues. I'll keep on looking! I looked like a nut, and the dealer said it, checking out the paint an inch away from my eyes, at awkward angles in the pouring rain. Definitely the car I want coming from a Ford Explorer which is archaic in comparison!
