Autogeek + St. Jude + You = WIN

I am not sure how many of you have been touched by having someone especially close to you ill like these children St Judes helps but it makes me grateful that I am able to help oppose to being the one needing help. My mother has always told me, wouldn't you rather be in the position to help someone out then to need help. (she is a nurse and has a huge heart so she is the reason I am blessed to feel the need to give and clean my room :) - she ran a tight ship at our house!)

So I am going to add one other item to this banner we are auctioning off, I have a couple Skull Candy's in my office! So to the highest bidder, you will receive a signed banner and a limited edition Skull Candy!

So if you are feeling generous and like you can beat my bid throw your name in the hat! It's all for a good cause and we are having fun while doing it. Im the MAN

Skull Candy

Not sure if your familar how St Jude Childrens Research Hospital got its start. This was Danny Thomas's vision. Now, miracles happen there daily :props:

When will the bidding end? (So I can take another shot at it).

I was thinking this coming Thursday. December 16th @11:59 pm Pacific Time. I hate contests that drag out to long, but I want to be sure every oppurtunity is given for everyone to think about this and decide. I'm not trying to pull on anyones heart strings

Have you heard the story of Ben & Hayden? Here is their story....

Wow $275 I didnt know our signatures and some Skull Candy was so costly!! I am very proud of our forum members, it's a great cause and I am happy to help out, even if it means parting with one of my Skull Candies!

Hey Flash I really appreciate what you are doing. Earlier this year my daughter was born 2.5 months early and spent 49 days in the NICU. It is a very hard situation to go through and my wife and are extremely grateful for the doctors and technology that saved my daughters life. Alof of it was possible through donations like this, I want to donate $50 to the cause. PM me to let me know wher to send it. Thank you.

Glad to see everyone stepping up and doing this. St Jude is one of my long time customer's (for my real job) and it's great to see everyone willing to jump in on this.

I personally don't have the extra money right now or I would be in on this as well. My apologies!

WOW...This is great :) I am so happy St Jude Childrens Research Hospital was there for your daughter. Without support, this mission can't go on. It cost over 1 million dollars per day to operate this facility

$50 is a very generous amount. I don't have the exact figure at this time, but if memory serves me 90% of their operation costs come from donors who contribute $100 or less. If you narrow it down even more. I believe its something like 75% of that 90% comes from donations of $25 or less. A hugh portion of that is people donating $1 at a time. If you feel you don't have enough to make a differnce your incorrect. I urge everyone to seriously consider donating to this cause. Even if you just stuff a dollar in an envolope

She was born at 6 1/2 months and 3 lbs 5.8 oz. She had trouble breathing for the first couple weeks. She was put on an oscillator that pretty much did the breathing for her because her little lungs were weak and tough (as in not as flexible as they should be). At the time we didn't know it but he oscillator was the last resort and the last thing technology had to offer. It is the best there is right now, but can be very dangerous. We heard the phrase "We are picking the lesser of the two evils" .....alot. But she fought her way through and is crawling and jabbering away right now! Shes a daddy's girl and I love her more than anything. I am sure St. Judes research that is funded by donations played a crucial part in saving her life. Even if it didn't, part of the oscillator's R&D probably was funded through donations. So for that, I am so very very thankful.

Just a great cause, very happy we can help out! Let's keep the bids rolling in...

You know someone else I like? Robin Williams. Anyone remember Mork-n-Mindy. That show was really cutting edge for its time :awesome:

Speaking of living large. I had the oppurtnity to meet Bernie Mac once. What a super nice guy. He was large and in charge

I bid $500. And if LegacyGT ups his bid to $400, he can have the banner and skull candy......:dblthumb2:

I must say I love that Max helps out with a lot of non profits and allows me to contribute to donating like with this bid, but John you really make me proud to be a part of this forum. Very generous and to a great cause, thank you.

Wow, what a deal ... I was kind of wondering how this would end but this seems to be the best option, doubling the donation to charity :xyxthumbs:

I will match your bid of $500, and as much as I would really like to take both the banner and the skull candy, I am not sure that is fair - I am very interested in the banner, so I'll give you the option of taking the Skull Candy (although if you don't want it, I am willing to provide a good home for it).

Everyone on this forum is amazingly generous with their time and advice. It feels really great to be part of such a nice community. Hopefully I will get a chance to meet some of you in the future.

Im the MAN

Legacy, very cool. Let's say we auction off the skull candy? For St. Jude's of course

I'll start the bidding at $25
