"Exotic Auto Detail" eh? No info? And you ask these questions?
Tons of info in this forum, and even more craziness in the rest of the interwebz...
Great post here!! Thank You again Yea i am still learning i usually follow dis buddy of mine in California who is opening a shop in beverly hill soon!! Any doubts i got i usually ask him but i love dis forum as well not everyone works the same way and thanks again:xyxthumbs:I think both of the tools should be on hand when detailing. The rotary is able to remove most problems and do it more quickly than a DA. It is possible to finish to near perfection with a rotary on lots of paints. A DA is essential for finishing on certain paints and especially good to ensure a swirl free finish everytime. The DA is also able to be used as wax spreader.
Every time I do correction work, I begin with the rotary for the cutting steps (105, Powergloss, SIP) and finish my DA. I apply finishing products (85rd and 205 for example) and LSPs with my DA and use it to scrub carpets.
Its all about personal preference and technique. If you are experienced enough to use a rotary, use it. If you are still learning, which I assume is not the case by your company name, then use a DA or Flex.
Gah these comments make me so angry....
What was it? If you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all? Something like that.
Umm I know there's ton of info u think I'm sitting down on a computer 24/7 going tru the whole forum umm no sir an the question should have been "Any preference anyone between a da vs rotary" I'm just curious Wat someone else would prefer and why

Thanks do u know where I can get an ac compressor for it for a good price cuz they aint cheap I also realized today I need motor mountsI understand you frustration, but careful with calling people outside of their name... after all it doesnt really serve a purpose...just for future reference.
I have an S10 with the same motor. Its a great little motor, plenty of power for most activities.
Good luck with learning how to use a rotary...be patient...and loosen up (no death grip) and im sure you'll get it in no time!
Play around with different pad configurations as well...you may try one you read about and think you HATE using a rotary, when it may just be pad preference. I personally LOVE my Kompressor pads, but I dont see too many people mention them on the detailing forums I read.
Good luck with your adventure! It's a fun one!
While you are out looking up my comments, please feel free to read up the wealth of advice and questions I try to answer to all questions. The fact is here we have a poster of the most basic type with what looks to be an established detailing business. This is misleading. I am suspect of motive (trolling), or ethics (which gives all detailers a bad rep). Hence I ask, and if nothing to hide, why dies the poster not even list his town? I mean in all seriousness, even to the most basic new user, the question of rotary versus DA has to be one of the most exhaustively covered topics ever.

Where are you located?
If you have an pick-n-pulls in your area, they're usually STACKED with S10,Blazers,sonoma's....That'd be the first place I'd check.
Im sure there are some other vehicles that will directly swap with your truck, but I dont know them off the top of my head.
I'm not sure if I can post links, so i'll say......type in "s10 forum" in google.....SOMEONE on their has dealt with your problem....if it's been done, you'll find the info on it there.
Good luck brother!
