Your favorite clay lube?

DP RWG, it's plenty slippery and the price is right. Dilution I believe is 2oz per 30oz of water. I see no need to use a full strength QD since I get the same results prior to polishing this way.

Hey Mark,

I use about 1oz, maybe a bit more, of DP Extreme Foam in 32oz of water. This stuff is thick and does a nice job of keeping the surface lubricated.

I like Meguiar's Last Touch diluted 1:1 (the recommended dilution ratio for claying).

DP RWG/ONR are both really poor as clay lubes. It is not as slick as other dedicated lubes and makes the clay grabby some times.

For me its Megs LT 1:1 or OID 8:1. I'm going to pick up some DJ Born Slippy pretty soon as I've heard it was some really good stuff.

I tend to agree with you. I use DP RWG for a clay lube and have not been impressed. I have PB Spray and wipe that works awesome as a clay lube, but I like to concerve it and use as it as drying aid instead.

Anyone tried CG luber?

I think my favorite is PB Spray and Wipe but I use ONR now because it it very cost effective. I have the white plastic pump for the gallon jug and just give it 2 pumps and then fill the rest of a 32 ounce bottle with tap water. My clay does grab every now and then but it's generally not a problem.

If I am working on a car that is really bad with contamination I will use Bug Squash or an equivalent to it, mixed 50/50 with tap water.

tried ddj born slippy this weekend again and it is grat...AG should carry it!

Havent tried the CG luber but I've used CG prodetailer+ and it works well too; however, it does contain carnauba.

DI has DJ Born slippy on sale right now till the end of december.

I use DP RW&G at 2oz to 30oz water. I find it's nearly as slippery as Pinnacle Clay Lube. If it wasn't so costly to purchase and ship the Pinnacle, I'd use that.

I use really cheap car wash soap, such as Blue Coral, or any car wash soap will do. Obviously, I dillute it with water, but I may add several drops of Dawn, to aid in cleansing the paintwork.

I've done this just about everytime I've ever clayed, (which isn't that many times, maybe 15-20 times) and have never had any problems whatsoever.

ONR and love it! 2oz of ONR to 32oz of distilled water with no problems.

:iagree:
I've been using car wash shampoo and I've never had an issue (hundreds of cars and still counting)

I use dawn, I think it works superb! I am trying to find something for the winter time to use so I don't have to wash the car after using the dawn.
