Cobra Indigo Microfiber Polishing Cloth - 12 pack purchase comments

Has anyone heard from AG regarding these sub-par MF towels?
 
Disappointing. I ordered 3 earlier this year and they are edgeless and work great. I was going to order more but now I am hesitant.

The light blue towels I ordered do have the "plastic" edges

Its a holiday weekend, I would not expect a response as AG until Monday. I know when I have a holiday and time off, the last thing I want to do is talk about work. :)

I haven't used any pakshak MF 's which ones do you guys recommend?

I didn't know if he sent a PM or if anyone else had similar problems and got a response from AG. Not necessarily today.

Well the ones I just mentioned for a start. The 16x16 Ultra-Plush at $4.50 each (chose from 5 colors) are simply awesome. The 24x36 waffle weave dry towel at $14.50 each is my next purchase when they get them back in stock.

We need to give AG a chance to respond. About a year and a half ago there was a problem with their "Shamrock" towels, they were right on it and I don't recall anyone unhappy with the resolutions.

yes, I am in total agreement with you. I thought my post made that clear in saying that they are off on holiday. Its only fanatics like us who are on the forum when the ball is dropping in NYC. :)
 
I feel really bad for not properly taking pictures of what I am describing in this thread, so I want to again thank the member who went ahead and took the pictures that I should have originally provided with the post.

For $2.50, you may want to try the Meguiar's Ultimate Wipe. CieraSL (post #21), provides a link to a comparison of the Indigo vs Meg's UW. I have the Meg's towels and I love them. Yes, they are thin, yes, they lint at first (until the first wash), but they are soft and work great. There's a thread on another forum that tests many mf's against each other. The Meg's UW won that test.

I have Megs MF towel, arctic white and indigo towels (and a bunch more) and I much prefer the cobras to the Megs towel. At least that is before the hot wire cutting issue that is mentioned in this thread.

Also I think Shane's thread mentioned PepBoys edgeless towels as being the better value over both cobras and megs. I don't own any pepboys so I can't say one way or another.

Lastly, I PM'd Dwayne at AG yesterday about the hot wire issue. I would guess that someone will check into it when they get back to the office on Monday. AG is pretty fanatic (in a good way) about customer service so I would give them a chance to see what's up.

LOL anything is a better value then the $9.99 Indigo :D I'm glad I didn't have to pay for mine. Mine are the old ones without the wire cut and while they are decent towels they are still way to expensive.

I don't have a PepBoys anywhere around here, I have no idea what their towels are like.
 
I'm sure the AG staff will address this and make things right.
 
AG makes alot of good products, but the line of cobra towels is not one of them. Every towel I've got from cobra has either linted or had these hard edges. I have down graded them to interior rags only. If its gonna touch my paint, its gotta be Pakshack.

I've read that poorboys MF's are decent also.
