Drying Towel

Cool to see I am not alone in that I use a leaf blower in conjunction with a ww towel. It just makes sense that if you blow the majority of the water off the surface, cracks, wheels, mirrors..then it keeps the surface contact to a minumum..and practically eliminates scratching/marring.
 
Did not know people use leaf blower to dry it up. Wow the things you can learn in this forum. Lol :)

I like to sheet the water off then pat the car dry with the Cobrah Waffle Weave Guzzlers. They're awesome!Im the MAN

leaf blower on wheels and tires is awesome!
 
I like to dry with Aquawax instead of QD. Get a two for the price of one with it.

What are everyone's thoughts on synthetic chamois?

I've only had my black car since April and don't know if my drying tools/technique are the cause of the swirls I've noticed recently or if they were there from the previous owner.

From what i'm gathering, I should be blotting with a drying towel rather than dragging anything across the surface in the absence of some kind of lubrication such as a QD or spraywax?

Never considered a leafblower but it does make sense...
 
After I have done my final soap removal rinse with the hose I switch to my CR Spotless for the final rinse.
Then I use my electric Toro blower to remove most of the water. And a guzzler WW to get the last little bit. Without using the blower it would take many towels to soak up all the water coming out from under the wing, trunk lid, hood vents, etc.

Blow off 95% and then wipe down as needed. I will usually use a waterless wash product.
 
Griot's garage Waffle Weave and Meguiar's Water Magnet are my go-to's.
