I'm looking to get a good shampoo with an added wax agent . I have used one in the past (it was a friends) and was amazed at the results. I cant recall the brand. I read a recent post here today and it re-sparked my interest in this 2 in one item.

So what have you tried and liked?

i never payed much mind with soaps with waxes included. for me i use pinnacle shampoo. its a wondefull shampoo. and ur better off drying of ur car with a spray wax after. souveran spray wax is great.. then u will get reall protection

I just got Finish Kare's version of their wash & wax, I'll follow-up with this post and let you know what I think. Currently, I use FK 118 regular carwash... a while back some one did a writeup on poorboys Wash/wax.

:iagree:

No it contains no wax.

Thanks, i was wondering about that myself.

I understand a Wash&wax AIO product will be, well, watered down. But it does seem to be on par with the spray waxes/ quick detail.

I see you never tried them but based on the products chemical make up, would you see them as equals or close to it?

I have tried some wash and waxes and have never noticed any difference. Once I use up the rest of my current gallon of wash and wax I probably won't go back. Instead just use ONR and if I want to touch up the wax, just follow up with a spray wax afterwards. I DO notice a difference when I use a spray wax.

Looking forward to your review, include before after shots if you can. The car I have in mind is my own and it never gets really dirty as its in the garage most of the time. I'll strip the old wax in the spring and start over but by mid summer I'll prob just use a good spray or a wash/wax solution. Both seem to give great results.

Personally, I thought this stuff really blew chunks........my 2 cents.

I did not make friends with this product either... :)

Poorboys Super Slick & Wax Car Shampoo 32 oz. Limited Supply!

Also comes in a 16 oz. size

Poorboys Super Slick & Wax Car Shampoo 16 oz. - Limited Supply!

Works great helps boost your protection through the winter. Lots of suds and is nice and slick. We made it for us folks in the North that don't want to wax in the winter haha.

I'll be trying this one this weekend and doing a review. (Thanks for the sample Shane)

I agree with the spray wax after you wash method..... but when pressed for time and can't do that I go with Dodo Sour Power. Much better than Megs Ultimate Wash and Wax and even after repeated use it won't have a film build up on your glass like other wash and waxes. Suds well and plenty of lubricity as well!

I'll do my best..I'll be applying it to my personal car as well, hopefully this weekend if the weather holds up.

not sure i understand ur quistion . but for me just stick with nice slick soaps and follow up with a spray wax is the way to go . sorry for not understanding ur quistion fully. im just a creature of habbit. wash with a highend soap then q/d entire car.. then dry done. i always use a quick detailer.

I have never used a 2 in 1 myself but I always read there not very good. I use wax from a company called swissvax, there products are really good.

Sorry about that. As I re-read it I see the confusion. too wordy.

Simply put- are quick detailers and wash wax products equal.

Chemicals found in one is found in the other.

As others have suggested, I would skip the Wash & Wax idea. Just use a good shampoo and finish with a spray wax or detail spray. I like FK 425 while drying after every wash.

In my opinion you should, apply paste wax, wash with good shampoo (with a little rinseless wash added), dry and maintain wax with a detail spray. When you feel the look or protection has been compromised, repeat from apply Paste wax.
