In your experience, what is the most durable wool pad?

Has anyone here used the Optimum wool pad that is sold here at AG? Did it hold up well?

In general which wool pads are your favorite and why?

These next few questions are for anyone who has used a 3M Superbuff III 2+2 wool pad.

Are there any other pads as good as this one and if so which. This is definitely the toughest I have tried to date and it finishes very nice for a wool pad and it doesn't shed at all.

How do the Megs solo double sided pads compare to the 3M Superbuff III 2+2 pads. Do they last as long? Do they shed like crazy?

Thanks for any insight. TD

I have the Megs solo wool and it sheds like a husky in summer. But it does cut well.

My personal favorite wool is the tufbuf wool pad. It doesnt cut as fast as a more aggressive one but it finishes down great! Dave and StreetDreams gave me the tip on these and I love them. They havent thrown a single fiber out on me after a few uses. Definitely worth owning IMO

Cool thanks for that tip on the tufbuf wool pads. I can get them locally for under $10. Your comment about the solo wool pad made me laugh out loud.

Upon further investigation I was wrong about that. The ones I saw were Tuffer Buffer wool pads made by S.M. Arnold.

Anybody use the Tuffer Buffer wool pads? If so how did you like them?

Dave, I have some 3M white 2 sided wool pads that I have had for years. Spur, and you're good to go. Wash once in a blue moon or if you get a single stage paint job. My burg Megs wool pad is holding up well too.
